Jessica Ridgeway was last seen by her mother as she took her normal three-block walk to a park to meet a friend on their way to school.

The friend told school officials that Jessica never showed up, NBC station KUSA-TV reported. They tried calling the Jessica’s mother, but she reportedly slept through calls after working a night shift.

I pray for her, this was on the news on the hour nationally as this happened in Colorado. I’ve known people with that last name from a neighboring state.
 
Just saw on our local news channel,a body was found in Arvada. They haven’t said definitively that it is Jessica. :(:(😦
 
I beg You God to help the family in all the desperate worry and sadness they feel.
Be with Jessica in everything she may have suffered.
If abducted I ask that the offender is caught so that he or she cannot hurt any other person.

Prayers to this poor child and her family and loved ones. Society needs to start addressing the fact that we have a mental health crisis on our hands u_u 1 in 4 have a mental illness of some kind. Of those the vast majority go untreated. Christ protect us and have mercy on us all.

Also, I do agree that we, as a society, need to take people with mental illnesses more seriously. Like, I’ve heard rumours that after the austere cuts, from the upcoming fiscal cliff, a lot of the mental institutions which help people, here in Denver, will be shut down; which will be a HUGE disservice do homeless people, especially homeless Vets; who mave mental illnesses. :bighanky:

Anyway, I thank you all for praying for this poor child and everyone else who had to suffer from this grave affliction.

i have a friend who lives in ft. collins who told me about this story the other day. i had a feeling it might not have a happy ending since so many days had already passed. my friend texted me tonight that an unidentified body had been found. they have not linked the body as of yet to the missing 10 year old girl. i can only imagine the anguish that the mother and father are going through right now. my prayers are with them tonight and the following days.
 
It is confirmed that they have found her remains. It was not pretty is an understatement. I hope Colorado can now start working towards instituting Jessica’s Law (different Jessica)

I also pray that whoever committed this horrible ,despicable act is brought to justice under the full extent of the law.In cases like this I would really like to see an Alcatraz type prison.Let these monsters fend for themselves ,isolated from society with no chance of ever being free.:mad: Aside from that,I pray that Our Blessed Mother will comfort and console this family in their time of sorrow… …Hail Mary full of grace…

Just to clarify,I just watched the local news.While they have found bodily remains,it has not been confirmed that they are those of Jessica Ridgeway.They don 't expect to have confirmation until late tomorrow afternoon.Apparently,they are still actively searching for her.

have they positively identified the remains as belonging to jessica ridgeway? i heard that they probably wouldn’t know until tomorrow. the remains were difficult to identify because they were not intact is what i read.
the odds aren’t good as the remains were found not that far from her neighborhood from what i understand.
tonight my prayers go out to jessica’s family and to the law enforcement officials investigating the disappearance.
