Single mom Paris Tassin appeared on the American Idol audition in Louisiana last Thursday night where she gave a tearful testimony about her decision to bring an unplanned, high risk pregnancy to term.

Tassin was eighteen years old when she found out she was pregnant. An ultrasound revealed that the baby had hydrocephalus, a condition characterized by fluid build-up inside the skull.

I’m still in awe at the guy who sang for his fiancee who was in the wheelchair after a serious car accident and after he sang, Steven Tyler kissed her and said, “He sings so good because he sings for you.” That guy’s a shoo-in for the finals.

That was a beautiful story in how he is standing by her and shares caregiving with her mom. As far as the single mom, I’m glad she had a choice.

Not quite sure what you mean by that. I don’t think she had any choice at all - the only choice is to allow her child to live, which she did.

I don’t watch AI, but I saw the clip on a news story. Steven Tyler was wonderful and it makes me believe that all of the years of bad behaviors is only a result of being terribly mis-guided, and not a real hardness of heart.
Love him as a teen, but grew up and now avoid his music for obvious reasons.

Legally she did. But glad her circumstances were such that she felt she could make the choice to carry to term and not abort.

He’s not JLo but Tyler has surprised me. Of the 3 Randy seems to be the “meaner” one now. JLo called him on it last night saying he was mean to a contestant and to just say no. But its refreshing that none of them are Simon. I just hope they are finding some better talent than last yr. Last yr was dreadful. I can’t even recall who won.

Right, but you see because of the evil of legalized pro choice she had to overcome that temptation which the culture of death presents to all expectant mothers, so yeah congratulations and best wishes for her!

It really is shocking to think that any human being, with a profession to heal, could ever say the words to someone “you should consider aborting” - essentially saying “I think you should kill your child”. Dress it up in deceptive flowery evasive words all you want - in the end the result is the same. It really is horrific.

I’m also glad she give birth to this child who is so loved and gives so much love back.

I google the wheelchair episode…

Between these two, I can’t stop crying! God love them!
