When I was a child (around 14/15) I was watching an episode of the Colbert Report and a Muslim fellow mentioned that unbelievers will go to Hell. This scared me, because I always thought those who didn’t believe in Christianity would go to Hell; now I must worry that if I pick the wrong Religion I would end up in Hell?
Because of the wonderful advances of the internet within the last eight years I have been able to look up arguments in favor and opposed to Islam and Christianity and I have come to a conclusion, without doubt that Islam is a false Religion. I don’t wish that anyone should ever have such a thought of eternal damnation on their mind because they chose the wrong Religion, so I decided to put this together in hopes to clear up any consciences. It’s also in hope that perhaps one day a Muslim will stumble upon this and accept Jesus Christ for who He truly is.
Over time I have accumulated some arguments against Islam and I decided to present some of my favorites to the rest of you. They are all solid when evangelizing or discussing Religion with Muslims.
Here is the index in alphabetical order:
One would think that if Islam is false, and Christianity is true but Islam would come to take up over 20% of the population; then God might be occupied with the affairs of Islam. I have a feeling that Islam can show a sense of irony that God has and I’ll explain how.
Fortunately for Christians and Muslims we have been given the knowledge on how to spot a false Prophet. Let’s look to Jesus’s words for guidance on the matter for just a second:
*Matthew 7:15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
This is how we are to recognize a Prophet and conclude whether he be a true one, or false. Now let’s dig into the Qur’an and see what it says on the matter:
Qur’an 69:44-46 And if Muhammad had fabricated against us some of the sayings, we would certainly have seized him by the right hand, then would certainly have cut off his aorta.*
First, I’m going to explain who, “we” is. In the Qur’an often Allah will refer to himself as, “we.” This is called a royal we so one should not be confused. Allah is literally saying that he will cut off the aorta of Muhammad if he fabricates any of the sayings in the Qur’an.
Now it’s time to look at what the Hadith says about Muhammad’s death:
Sunan abu dawud 4498 Muhammad then said about the pain which he died: "I continued to feel pain from the morsel which I had eaten at Khalbar. This is the time when it has* cut off my aorta**.*"
*Sunan abu dawud 4498: A Jewess presented Muhammad at Khaibar a roasted sheep which she had poisoned. The apostle of Allah ate of it and the people also ate. He then said, "lift your hands from eating, for it has informed me that it is poisoned. Bishr b al-bara b. Ma’rur al-ansari died. So muhammad sent for the jewess and said to her, “what motivated you to do the work you have done?” She said, "if you were a prophet, it would not harm you; but if you were a king, I would rid the people of you. The apostle of allah then ordered regarding her and she was killed. He then said about the pain of which he died: "I continued to feel pain from the morsel which I had eaten at khaibar. This is the time when it has cut off my aorta.
*
*Sunan abu dawud 4449: Umm bishr said to the prophet during the sickness of which he died: what do you think about your illness apostle of allah? I do not think about the illness of my son except the poisoned sheep of which he had eaten with you at khaibar. The prophet said, "and I do not think about my illness except that. This is the time when it cut off my aorta.
*
Sahih al-bukhari 4428: The Prophet in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O Aishah! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at the Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison
To give you some history on the Surah 69:44-46 it was one of Muhammad’s earliest recitations and would have been well known before Muhammad finally died by his aorta being cut. I can’t help but recognize the irony.
