An extra special prayer request

I’ve had prayer requests here in the past about my mom and her pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to her liver and her cancer is incurable. I’m still praying for a miracle never-the-less.

Mom is flying down from Montana on Sunday to get a dose of her boys and some Arizona sunshine. Please pray that she can make the trip in good health. She’s gets tired very easily and I’m worried about her. She’ll be flying with my brother and her husband so I know she’ll be in good hands but, please pray.

Thank you and thank you for your past prayers.

@Tad I’m glad you will be spending time with your mom - it will be wonderful to be in the sunshine and with her boys. Prayers for her and you.

Thank you all. Mother made it down from Montana in good health and is enjoying abundant sunshine and tacos. She looks awfully frail and sleeps most of the time, but when she’s awake, she’s her usual self.

Time for a praise report.

Mom made it down to Arizona just fine as did my brother and his family. We had a good week together and mom made it back home to Montana last Sunday in good shape. Thank you again for your prayers. I’ve been letting the prayers roll on because now mother would like to go out to Vermont in May to watch her granddaughter play field hockey. Given how weak she was it’s going to take a minor miracle to get here out there. So, if anyone is looking forward to a prayer opportunity here’s another one for you. 😃

Also, if you all wouldn’t mind offering up a little prayer for me, it’s terribly difficult watching my mother become so weak and nothing in my life’s experience has me prepared for this. Thank you.

Lord , grant @tad the serenity , peace and strength you alone can give in life’s hard journeys .

We beseech thee to help her in all her needs and trials of this life, as thou, through the power of God, didst restore sight and give guidance to young Tobit. Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (tad’s Mother). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into tad’s Mother’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for tad’s Mother, who is suffering from cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to him. Comfort him during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant him peace and patience in suffering. May God give him the fullness of life here on earth. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
