An Honest Question for Any Honest Muslim

an obvious point no doubt “Jesus just a famous prophet,son of god for christianity” so for a muslim the whole bible is rubbish for obviously he is to them in the bible a false prophet in claiming to be God"
so the problem maybe? (in the dictionary human stands for a divine being or a machine)without baptism which involves being born into the spirit,could! which is rhetorical,scorn be poured onto an ignorant or nieve person or persons head(obviously with heartfelt intentions) when more than not such a machine cold not understand or feel such help or rebuke.psalm 51 could explain but the new testament is nothing short of the old, brought to fulfillment in Christ Jesus! oh there is hope but what an odd way to go and such a drag for those that approach christianity as it is, which is"suffering" also!.
How could it not when more than half the world is commiting such crimes against God,and being in the light hurts so much more at times than just thought alone.

No offense meant, but how could anyone reply? Your post is a bit rambling with little understandable punctuation and spacing to clear it up. I’m certainly not the brightest person on this board, but I’m no dunce and I can’t make heads or tails of your post, except that you are saying it is difficult to follow Christ, but worth the journey. I’m sure you have another point, but it seems lost to me. Would you care to clarify?
 
Twice the Qur’an mentions this idea coming from Christians and twice it is rhetorically refuted.

2:80
And they say, “Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few days.” Say, “Have you taken a covenant with Allah ? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allah that which you do not know?”

Do you believe God created you imagination? Do you believe he works through it? How do you invision your God? Whats he look like to you?

In Islam, the general rule would be that if you can picture or imagine what God looks like, then rest assured that it is NOT the Lord that your mind is envisioning.

Why not? Isn’t God free to reveal himself to whom he want and how he wants?

The Lord will reveal Himself to His faithful servants in the Hereafter.

This makes sense because if He were to reveal Himself to those who are still in this world, then it would not be called faith anymore, would it?
 
So God is not working through you imagination?

You guys pray what 5X daily? So to some extent the prayer must be contemplative. What do you see?

That is not what I said.

God does indeed work through one’s imagination but it is not His image that the mind is envisioning.

Muslims do not see God when we pray but the Lord certainly sees and hears us… and this is what every Muslim must believe when he or she prays.

Actually faith relies on revelation. Faith hold on truth. If the truth is not revealed, that’s when there is no faith (true faith that is). It is the Truth that is believed if we are dealing with true faith.

Also the only people who will receive the Lord’s revelation after death are those who would have rejected God to the last moment on their life. God is always revealing himself to those who are upright. They see him according to their capacity and love of God; according to the purity of their hearts.
 
OK, so what are “you” seeing?

I’m just asking what “you” see when you pray, Mecca, Mohammad, Kaaba? I don’t know, or is your mind on the Quran or family or employment. I can’t tell you what you think thats why I’m asking?

Do you guys pray for others? Family, loved ones etc?
 
Is Abraham in the Quran? What does Abraham mean to Islam and you on a personal level?

scorn is somthing which happens to individuals when you are polite and helpfull to those that hate you or are some how recalcitrant or naive,without light you could not understand!
thats the whole point of baptism!

On the contrary, sinful Muslims who do not repent their wrongdoings are almost guaranteed of spending a certain amount of time in the Hell-fire as well.

I see objects and people in front of me when I pray… and this is part of the reason why women are prohibited to lead the prayer when there are men in the congregation.

Our eyes are not really that important when we pray as compared to our ears because we are required to pay attention to the verses the imam is saying in congregational prayer and it is really through hearing and understanding the Qur’an verses that help Muslims get close to God in the 5 daily obligatory prayers.

Praying for family and loved ones is pretty much standard fare when Muslims are supplicating to the Lord.

Muslims follow the religion of Prophet Abraham (pbuh) and the proof of this is in the Qur’an:

"Then we inspired you (O Muhammad) to follow the religion of Abraham, monotheism; never was he an idol-worshiper." … [16:123]

There is only One God who created one race of human beings, and communicated to them one message: submission to the will of God—known in Arabic as Islam. That message was conveyed to the first human beings on this earth, and reaffirmed by all of the prophets of God who came after them, down through the ages.

In the years after they were sent by God to their respective people, the Message that the Prophets taught gradually became lost and eventually the people went back to wrong and abhorrent practices such as idol-worship and associating partners with their Creator.

It is therefore no surprise then that at the time of Muhammad (pbuh), the pagan Arabs were worshiping idols in the Kaa’ba, despite them being the likely descendants of Abraham (pbuh) through his son, Ishmael (pbuh).

The essence of the message of Islam is that humankind should worship only One God by obeying His commandments, and should avoid worshiping God’s creation in any way, shape or form.

No one… bar no one… should ever contemplate spending time in Hell and “getting out after a period of time”.

I know of only One source who would be able to provide a definitive answer to your question and I would suggest that anyone who needs Guidance from Him to ask the way the Biblical Prophets (peace be upon them all) did:

Genesis 17:3 "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,"

Genesis 17:17 "Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?"

Exodus 34:8 "And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped."

Numbers 16:20-22 "And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?"

Joshua 5:14 "And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my Lord unto his servant?"

Ezekiel 9:8 "And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?"

I would suggest that such prostration to the Lord in prayer be done regularly in the privacy of your home, preferably in the direction of Jerusalem if you like and I would also suggest that you do this immediately after you have taken your bath… and the best time to ask for Guidance from the Lord is when you are in actual prostration to Him.

In these quotes, there is nothing planned or scheduled/regular in these people.
They are not falling on their face as part of scheduled or planned practice.
They are not giving God a show either!
Let’s not promote pharisee spirituality here! We would not be saved even if we were to practice it in privacy.
Your manipulation of those verses feels vicious…

I hope you would comment on pharisee worship… to be sure.

Well, I actually pray rather frequently, but I’ve never gotten the impression that I’ll be going to hell for not being a Muslim. I’m not contemplating going to hell then getting out after a period of time, I’m asking you to comment on Islamic doctrine. Could you do so, please?
 
Some of the questions being asked here, only God alone would be able to answer and I have to say that I do not know the answers to these kind of questions.

And how then do we ask the Lord for the answers?

The best way for us to do this would be to do what the Prophets (peace be upon them) did when they were in urgent and dire need of answers from their Lord i.e. they prostrated to Him and asked Him for Guidance as can be seen from the numerous Biblical verses which I have quoted in my previous post.

God-willing, the Lord will heed your own call for His Guidance by giving you the answers that you seek within your hearts… and this is why regular prostration to the Lord is so important.

Like I said, I myself do not know the answers to some of the questions being asked here.
