I’ve been reading through a few posts here and I am going to paste an old post I did for someone else in your situation:
Now that you have some basis with your knowledge…you now need to take this a step further…you need to use your will choose to want to believe (because it’s an act of the will) …and begin a relationship.
The growth of a relationship will surely help you come to know Him.
The growth will increase your belief (and therefore your will).
We can get proof through science, looking around our external world, looking at history (the change and life of those that HAVE believed)…this should be enough…but we must throw ourselves into the air and attempt relationship for ourselves.
Otherwise…God remains a mysterious buring bush on top of a high mountain like God was for Moses before he went to see…
You’ve seen the burning bush…by looking at the world around you, and listening to your inner selve ; you have come to wonder and question.
Start a relationship. Tonight… I want you to close your door in your room and audibly ask God: WIll you come and help me come to know you? I want to know you, I want a relationship with you …(then tell him that you don’t even know he exists…TELL HIM RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE: ) I don’t know if you’re really there…but I’m willing to go this far to find out…Help me! (then ask any questions, worrys you have) .
Do this every night…a relationship will start. It will start because you start taking time and listening. I guarentee you God will manifest when it’s time.
And in the mean time… keep learning, reading, listening.
