I did not really expct any Catholic here to change their position. The point I was making was that my faith enables me to do more than just hope! I can and do hope; however I also expect and anticipate answers to prayer - I don’t jut hope that they will be answered. I can say that “I hope God will answer my prayers” or I can say “I know that God will answer my prayers”. I choose the latter. Prayer is always answered. However, it is always answered on God’s time with God’s answer - not always what I want to hear.I doubt any Catholic is going to reconsider that position, as it is a very basic belief of Christianity. We look for hope in Christ.
