Many have accused me of being an SDA because of a link that I posted.

My question is how does that make a SDA? And what does this have to do with my beliefs of the Bible? How does this profit you? Yes there are some links to adventist videos, but how does that make me of the adventist faith when I didn’t create the site?

I was even accused of being a JW, but no one even knows who I am. How do you know these things to be fact, when you know nothing about me, only that I post scriptures and nothing else.

You accuse me of abandoning threads. I have admitted to leaving threads but only because of the things that are being said.
  1. You question my authority?
  2. You call me a fool, simple minded…and so on. I do not respond to ignorance. That is not of God.
  3. You refuse to stay on topic.
  4. Too many people want immediate answers to their questions, or asks questions that makes no sense.
If a scripture says one thing and you find a scripture to disagree with it to justify your claims, then based off what you have said, the Bible contradicts itself and that is impossible.

I made a thread and someone told me they don’t worship Mary, yet I said nothing about worshiping anything. I quoted from ecclessiates and a person said I was wrong because Ezra did not say that when I never quote from Ezra. Seems like attacks to me.

It seems as though you all are trying to find anything you can to use against me and always change the topic of the thread. You have NEVER failed to do so. If your beliefs do not go with the Bible, then you should not attack me. I only post scripture.

I know I am going to receive a lot of heat for this, but what you say doesn’t change scripture.

Thanks
TS

Let’s talk then. The two of us, because I have noticed you come into my threads but you hardly talk about scripture with me.

So me and you. How about umm Christ’s Second Coming, how do you feel about it. I wont respond to anyone but you.

I am open about my Church affiliation. I have nothing to hide so when someone asks me what Church I attend, I am open with that person. This prevents me from being accused of being Baptist, Mormon, atheist, agnostic… communist so on and so forth. You are not me, and therefore, may not feel the need to be so open about your church affiliation, however if the speculation about which church you attend is bothersome I recommend that you just tell posters your church affiliation. You will see how fast the speculation stops.

If you don’t feel the need to be open, don’t be overly concerned then when people try to figure it out in hopes of carrying on better dialog with you.

God bless you

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Oh my gosh!!! Your ego knows no bounds, does it!!! It really is all about you and you must re-affirm this for everybody!

Thoughts that MUST be in Truth Seeker123’s head:

‘I must post a bunch of rediculous threads! That’ll get them to take note of me!’

‘I’ll keep reiterating the same things, that way, they’ll remember me!’

‘Ah! Good! Now they’re asking about my religion. Me Me Me Me ME!!! I’m going to play coy so we can keep talking about me.’

‘I’m going to start a thread about me. It’s all about me, really, but, let’s make this into one full thread dedicated to MMMMEEEEEEEEEE!!!’

I hope I fed your ego a bit.

You started a thread entitled, “You gave us the Bible…let’s read”. Then you chose another topic to discuss. We offered scriptures that support the Catholic view and we disagreed with your interpretation, which you placed as correct over our interpretation. This opens a door to discuss one’s authority over who has the correct interpretation.

Now you assert that what we say doesn’t change scriptures, because we disagree with your interpretation. It also doesn’t change scriptures because you disagree with our interpretation. See how interpretation plays a major part of the scriptures, whether you post them or we post them.

I, for one, have not referred to you as a fool or ignorant. I will remind you that it was you who referred to those who disagreed with your interpretation as ignorance.

The topic cannot remain on one or two scriptures you post and always remain in context. As I explained to you, you have to read scriptures with scriptures to receive the full context of what’s being communicated to us. If it were as simple as staying with only one verse, then our Bibles would only have one verse.

While we tried to answer or address all your questions and points, you failed to respond to the points and questions we asked. Instead, you started another thread with an entirely new topic, which was apparent that it was another Catholic teaching you had an objection too.

As for your Church affliation, I did not assume which Church you were affliated with. I simply asked what Church you were affliated with, to which you still have not answered, for some mysterious reason. Why not share that information? There are thousands of denominations, with slight to great differences in doctrines. It’s not as simple as we’re Catholic and you’re Protestant (if you’re a Protestant). It would give us some insight as we do know some differences and those differences that we do not know can be explained by you.

This is a Catholic forum and, for the most part, we are firm in our faith. We expect tough questions and points raised, as you should expect the same in return.

Thats fine if you are open. But my denomination has nothing to do with anyone on this site. So if I choose not let anyone know, then why continue to ask?

That’s your choice, but if you chose to not let people know your church affiliation then I have little to no sympothy for you being bothered by the questions.

I think it adds to people’s suspicions that your persistent in not identifying your church.

God bless you

I have let you know my stance on many subjects without letting you know what denomination that I am affiliated with. I use the KJV Bible above all things. What else is there to know? Honestly asking.

Well, I would continue to ask (politely) because there is a great deal of difference between individuals of any religious ‘system’.

The Society of Friends would approach many topics in Christian teaching very differently from a Baptist; a non-denominational Protestant would approach differently from a Methodist.

Because there are so many, many differences, it makes it much easier for all of us (Catholic and non-Catholic alike) if we know the denomination because we are then able to address specific teachings in a way which is **helpful.

**Suppose, for example, that I was a Christian who adamantly believed in a Calvinistic ‘double predestination’. If I came on and was constantly addressing other non-Catholic and Catholic Christians from that perspective, yet refused to say that I myself came from a denomination in which this was a huge part of belief, I would confuse all the other non-Catholics and the Catholics. . .because I wasn’t being ‘honest’ and was making an ‘impression’ that I wasn’t part of that denomination. . .as though my ‘beliefs’ could be held by other non-Catholics as ‘normal’ when a lot of them would not hold that belief. Also, by not being honest and representing myself as being possibly from a Protestant perspective in whichi this was NOT a teaching, I would be presenting myself as 'open to those teachings when in fact I am not at all open but closed.

It’s intellectual dishonesty IMO. . .with the important caveat that the person engaging in such may not have deliberately thought of it as being dishonest, or attempts to excuse himself/herself by saying that he/she does so in order to ‘not be judged’.

But if one is strong in one’s belief should one not proclaim it proudly?

If we play coy, aren’t we in a sense denying Christ by not being honest and open?

Are we so unsure of our own beliefs?

Are we so sure that others will ‘attack us’? Are we only victims or are we soldiers for Christ, willing to put ourselves ‘out there’ knowing that we ‘might’ get attacked but also knowing that how we behave under that kind of pressure is a witness for Christ?

Many Mormons use a KJV Bible, do you agree with them? My point is, there are many denominations that use the KJV version of the Bible, yet they have different doctrines and teachings. Telling us which Bible you use does not tell us anything about what you believe, except that you accept the Bible as the ‘sole authority’. Could you provide the scripture and verse where the Bible tells us it is the ‘sole authority’, or all that is needed?

My church does not do that. It is of my on decision to do so. Simply because I want to discuss the Bible and what it says, and not my denomination and what others believe.
Again, if you let others know what your denomination is on this site, then that’s fine, I have I chosen not to do so.

I am sharing my beliefs based on the Bible and not a title. So what is the problem. How can my denominational name help someone understand what I believe better than me telling you what I believe.

I am not speaking for you when I say this, but if I reveal my denomination, many will search it on the net or talk about what they think “I” believe to use it against me. I am in no way downing any denomination and especially not my own, but if I am telling you what I believe then what is the problem. What other way can we discuss our beliefs than through what we believe?

No offense intended Truth Seeker123, but that’s what it appears you are attempting with Catholicism. We are trying to explain our beliefs to you, yet you reject our explanations and proceed with a pre-conceived notion, or teaching that someone has erroneously taught you.

As I’ve explained multiple times, and you have not responded too, there are many denominations, based on different interpretations of scriptures, many of whom use the KJV Bible exclusively. Simply saying which Bible you use does not tell us anything about what you believe.

Okay, but I am telling you I believe in the Bible. You and I both know that if I reveal my denomination they will immediately “TELL ME WHAT I BELIEVE” and not listen to a word I have to say. So with me not revealing it, they get what I believe and no denominational name to associate it with.

Also, I can not speak for everyone in my denomination, so I speak for myself when I say what I believe. I will continue to do so and by doing that, I will not reveal my denomination. I don’t want anyone here to think that I speak for all individuals when it comes to my beliefs, because like many denominations everyone does not believe the same thing.

Again, this is seemingly similar to what you are doing with Catholicism…🤷

But it is OK for you to tell Catholics what they believe?
in the catholic faith is everything symbolic (has to mean something else)?
Isn’t there a lot of confusion when everything is made up of symbols and there is no way of knowing what anything means? God is not the author of confusion. Babylon means confusion. This is a good way for people to guess and give their own interpretation of scripture, which is very dangerous. You start to hear/read things like “I think this means”, “it could mean”, “or maybe this”
You also talk about people attacking you because of your faith affiliation. Aren’t you yourself guilty of this?
lol I find truth in the Word of God.

My friend, if you only knew the dangers of catholicism…

I have stepped out of the box and compared many religions to what the Bible says and they are all unbiblical. Catholicism is not the True church of God. Books have been written to support their beliefs. They are in complete opposition to the Bible. You are even defending the belief of not putting the Bible first over any book.

Do you not see anything wrong with this situation. The catholic church encourages you to prove that the church is the true church with a scripture, and then turn around and say the Bible is not all you need. If it is good enough to show that you are the true church, shouldn’t it be good enough to live by alone.

If you do nothing else, please research what you are apart of. Satan is in control of that organization. You can tell by it’s fruits. Babylon means confusion.

Satan wants to exalt himself, and be like the most high. Sound familiar?

Please refer to post 31. You can’t be the True church and not follow the same book that you say claims you are the true church.
Please don’t try acting like a scolded puppy.

BTW, those are only a few, there are plenty more.
