Plenty of Pentecostals/Protestants have encountered Angels at their services through either seeing them physically with own eyes, spiritual eyes, feeling their presence, seen by children or even filmed or photographed. Could Catholics share (of recent) encounters they had personally (not Saints) of Angels during mass, taking the Eucharist or Adoration etc.
I think many Catholics have also seen, heard or felt heavenly presence. Catholics are just not as vocal in making public their experiences as other Christians. Most prefer to keep their experiences to a select few.

I saw Jesus with a bright form of a dove on His chest when I visited a church that a relative highly recommended. I was just planning to pray the rosary and go home when Mass began. Because I have never been to that church, I did not know their mass schedule. When the Mass began, I was only on the 3rd or 4th decade, and decided to finish the rosary after Mass.

After the Mass ended, I began to pray the remaining decade/s when I noticed a group of people (lays and nuns) gathered and began to pray the Novena of the Holy Spirit. Suddenly, when I looked at their direction, I saw Jesus in a black priestly vestment with the bright form of a dove on His chest, stood before them.

I said to myself, “My imagination!” I turned my head to look at the center of the altar but I did not see Jesus. Slowly, I looked back where Jesus stood, and He was still there. Jesus was smiling at me.

After the novena ended, He disappeared. Then, I ran to where He stood, suddenly, I felt the urge to look up. There I saw a huge printed sign “Peace.” I guess, God was greeting me Shalom…

bsy can you tell me which church that was at - I sent your testimony to other Catholics and is encouraged them.

I know quoting scripture is tons of fun, I guess if seeing a Heavenly spiritual being means something to someone who sees it, then that is just great. But for me it wouldn’t solve or make life for me any better.
I quoted a God breathed scripture, which gives me comfort and the reason for my hope in Jesus Christ. The sign and wonder God revealed to me at Mass, through His angel celebrating the festal gathering on earth Liturgy as it is in the heavenly liturgy. Suffice it to say, in my seeing my Priest guardian angel during the consecration of the body and blood of my crucified Lord answered many of my personal Prayers.

The scripture I posted speaks volumes for me, and prevents me from writing a book here, on how this sign and wonder increased my faith and hope in God and life living in the after life…

Miracles are for the unbelievers, and you are due one. I pray your miracle does not come to you during a crisis, But if it does cry out to God and see the hand of God at work, that has changed many souls, not for better living, but for gainful living in hope, faith and especially love.

A sign and wonder from heaven is not to satisfy our own selfish desires or to make life any better. The sign and wonder revealed from heaven to our person, answers a prayer, and opens our hearts and minds to have ears to hear and eyes to see God’s love for our soul.

Peace be with you

Could they have been his guardian angels? Priests do have two correct?

really how would someone in the 60s know what an image of the Blessed Virgin would look like ?

An even though technology was different in the 60s using techinques to create a different or altered image with an image was not anything new, techniques were used to improve an image for better quality once people realized they can completely alter or fabricate an image then ya have fakes being made.

Photographs are not reliable when they are of such poor quality and taken under questionable circumstances, like when people claim to have pictures of bigfoot, but some how cant manage to get the picture in focus let alone use the zoom feature or just get closer.

That said, beings from Heaven are not going to come by and pose for a quality photograph let alone any photograph.

Doesn’t mean that the photos dont inspire or help someones faith, if it does, then great.

Thousands of eyes witnesses.

newflash:

People see whatever they want to see, in the clouds, at mass, and so forth.

But it’s pretty silly to have a thread like this to be honest.

Because I saw the loch ness monster when I was a kid 😉

Do you enjoy being such a wet blanket? 🤣

I often see grace, in the form of light; coming from the priest’s hands as he consecrates the Host. I have felt before that the Mass is heaven on Earth and that, during the Holy, Holy, Holy; I participate with the Angels in their praise of God and I felt ecstasy during Mass.

How would someone even know back then what an apparition of the Virgin Mary would even look like ?
Back then?! My friend, back then wasn’t all that long ago. It’s not like people suddenly got intelligent with the advent of the World Wide Web. Pretty nearly all of us got along quite satisfactorily back then. 😎

Because it’s Coptic , in Egypt, The Vatican left it in Coptic hands to investigate and approve. Which they did.

Zeitoun lasted a very long time.

For more than a year, starting on the eve of Tuesday, April 2, 1968, the Blessed Holy Virgin Saint Mary, Mother of God, appeared in different forms over the domes of the Coptic Orthodox Church named after Her at Zeitoun, Cairo, Egypt. The late Rev. Father Constantine Moussa was the church priest at the time of these apparitions. The apparitions lasted from only a few minutes up to several hours and were sometimes accompanied by luminous heavenly bodies shaped like doves and moving at high speeds. The apparitions were seen by millions of Egyptians and foreigners. Among the witnesses were Orthodox, Catholics, Protestants, Moslems, Jews and non-religious people from all walks of life. The sick were cured and blind persons received their sight, but most importantly large numbers of unbelievers were converted…

His Holiness Pope Kyrillos VI (Cyril VI) entrusted a committee of high rank priests and bishops to investigate the apparitions, and on Saturday, May 4, 1968, the Coptic Orthodox Church officially confirmed the apparitions after thorough investigation (see official report below). His Holiness Pope Kyrillos VI also assigned the responsibility of documenting the apparitions and accompanying miracles to a special committee headed by Anba Gregorios, bishop of postgraduate studies, Coptic culture and scientific research

The apparitions were also approved by the local Catholic Patriarch, Cardinal Stephanos I (Stephen I), who stated that the apparitions of our Lady at Zeitoun were beyond any doubt and were seen by many of his trustworthy Coptic Catholic children. Father Dr. Henry Ayrout, the rector of the Catholic Collège de la Sainte Famille (Jesuit order) in Cairo also declared his acceptance of the miraculous apparitions of Virgin Mary, saying that whether Catholic or Orthodox, we are all Her children and She loves us all equally and Her apparitions at the Zeitoun Coptic Orthodox Church confirmed this notion. Rev. Dr. Ibrahim Said, head of all Protestant Evangelical Ministries in Egypt at the time of the apparitions, affirmed that the apparitions were true. Catholic nuns from the Sacré-Coeur order also witnessed the apparitions and sent a detailed report to the Vatican. On the evening of Sunday, April 28, 1968, an envoy from the Vatican arrived, saw the apparitions and sent a report to His Holiness Pope Paul VI of Rome.

Official Statement from Papal Residence in Cairo on the Apparition of Saint Mary in the Zeitoun Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo, Egypt

Since the evening Tuesday April 2, 1968 (the 24th of Bramhat, 1684 A.M.), the apparitions of the Holy Virgin Saint Mary, Mother of Light, have continued in the Coptic Orthodox Church named after Her in Zeitoun, Cairo.

The apparitions occurred on many different nights and are continuing in different forms. The Holy Virgin Saint Mary appeared sometimes in full form and sometimes in a bust, surrounded with a halo of shining light. She was seen at times on the openings of the domes on the roof of the church, and at other times outside the domes, moving and walking on the roof of the church and over the domes. When She knelt in reverence in front of the cross, the cross shone with bright light. Waving Her blessed hands and nodding Her holy head, She blessed the people who gathered to observe the miracle. She appeared sometimes in the form of a body like a very bright cloud, and sometimes as a figure of light preceded with heavenly bodies shaped like doves moving at high speeds. The apparitions continued for long periods, up to 2 hours and 15 minutes as in the dawn of Tuesday April 30, 1968 (the 22nd of Barmouda, 1684 A.M.), when She appeared continuously from 2:45 am till 5:00 am.

Thousands of people from different denominations and religions, Egyptians and foreign visitors, clergy and scientists, from different classes and professions, all observed the apparitions. The description of each apparition as of the time, location and configuration was identically witnessed by all people, which makes this apparition unique and sublime.

Two important aspects accompanied these apparitions: The first is an incredible revival of the faith in God, the other world and the saints, leading to repentance and conversion of many who strayed away from the faith. The second are the numerous miracles of healing which were verified by many physicians to be miraculous in nature.

The Papal Residence has thoroughly investigated the apparitions and gathered information by way of committes of clergy who have also witnessed the apparitions by themselves and recorded everything in reports presented to His Holiness Pope Kyrillos VI.

By issuing this statement, the Papal Residence declares, with full faith and great joy and humility of a thankful heart, that the Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of Light, appeared in clear forms on many different nights, for periods of variable length, lasting on occasions more than 2 continuous hours, starting on the eve of Tuesday April 2, 1968 (the 24th of Bramhat, 1684 A.M.) and up till now (the date of the report) in the Coptic Orthodox Church named after Her in Zeitoun, Cairo. It is historically proven that the location of this church in Tumanbay street, in Zeitoun quarter, on the way to El-Matarya, Cairo, is on the path taken by the Holy Family when visiting Egypt.

May God make this miracle a symbol of peace for the world, and a blessing for our nation as it has been prophesized: “Blessed be Egypt My people.”

There are thousands, if not more “eyewitness” stories of people seeing ghosts, aliens, and angels, BUT there is absolutely ZERO evidence that any photographic or video proof is real. Nada, People see what they want to see, but it doesn’t mean it’s real.
