Rather fond if it, myself. My daughter taught it for 5 years.

Haven’t heard any of it at Mass for years, though.

I attended Latin Mass in St Peter’s Basilica (which was not the Tridentine/EF one) but which featured more Latin than usual, and a Tridentine/EF Mass at an FSSP church in Rome. The latter was unbelievably beautiful.

I know that there has been a number of Anglicans especially those who are pastors (sorry if their called something else) that are coming into the Catholic Church. I know a lot of them are coming in bc of the issue with women Priests and gays.

Like my priests says the Doors to the Catholic Church are always open.

Good luck and your journey to the True Cjurch of God. My prayers wil be for you and those who are in the same boat as you who are considering or are in a journey to the Church God Bless

I attended a Tridentine LM back when it was still an indult, at what was then an Anglican Use parish locally. It was offered by a FSSP priest.

In my Anglican parish, I occasionally would hear some of the Minor Propers chanted in Latin. Not anymore. I miss it.

I call them priests. Many of them call themselves that, too.

From a Catholic perspective, priest would be the wrong thing to call them.
From an Anglican perspective, it wouldn’t. But even from a RC perspective, I think you will find the term used, Apostolicae Curae or no. Courtesy. Likewise with “Bishop”.

I agree. It’s technically not correct, but is used for the sake of making things easier. One should only be aware of the reservation.

not as I see it. I have a friend who is an Anglican priest. I call him “Father xxxx”, and would identify him as … an Anglican priest.

To be sure. One also recalls that Pope Paul VI gave Michael Ramsey, then Archbishop of Canterbury, an episcopal ring that the Pope had used as Archbishop of Milan. Still worn by those holding the office of Cantaur, occasionally.

Good for you. And I know you know the distinction which the RCC holds, on Anglican orders.

there’s an ACNA mission from the dioceses of San Joaquin here. I wish them the best of luck, and am saddened by the rift that separates us.

I’m separated from the ACNA by a small rift myself.

I thought their newly installed bishop was taking a hardline, anti-Roman Catholic posture in his interpretation of the 39 Articles. like he’d never heard of the Council of Trent, then-Fr. Newman or his Tract 90. on the other hand, the bishop in residence, John-David Schofield is quite a gentleman.

I think +Schofield is retired.

+Duncan is not from the Anglo-Catholic end of the Anglican spectrum. +Iker, sort of the ACNA number two, is.

John David is retired, has been for a year or more. his successor is not friendly to RCs.

No, what irks me is that you continue in the Church of England attempting to undermine and sabotage it with non Anglican teaching.

If the C of E is indeed a one true church…how can you fear, what are you afraid of it being undermined by sabotage? If it’s teachings are true…no matter what attacks are thrown at her…she should be able to defend itself…looks like you have fears it cannot? 🤷
So, no, I don’t think your volunteer work comes up to much when you are attempting to district the Church of England’s teaching and undermine it from within.

That’s +Menees?

ACNA has a spectrum of positions somewhat resembling the Episcopal Church, 50 years ago. The Anglican Continuum, which ACNA is not formally a part of, is more (if only somewhat more) Anglo-Catholic.
