“And what does it show about you when you insult other members, implying that you have private revelations from unapproved sources which conflict with church teaching and are in violation of board rules to post?”
I doubt whether anyone was insulted except you.
Obviously since it wasn’t directed at anyone else besides me.
For it was you who fabricated the “private revelations” accusation.
Then please share with us what you meant by your statement
“When you get to heaven and you fill out your requests just don’t check the pets part and you will never see a pet there even though for others they will be there. I have not been given permission to tell you more.” especially when the CCC clearly states that only humans have an immortal soul? Please clarify.
As to finding you a “very strange person” I don’t think that in itself is an insult. First one can’t help notice your strange avatar.
Which stange avatar? The one of the knight which represents my membership in the Knights of Columbus – an organization started by a Catholic priest devoted to works of charity? Or, are you referring the one of the Pope and President Regan – two great men who I both had the opportunity of seeing in person? Or, are you referring to the holy medal of St. Gabriel Possenti – a person who is official recognized as a Saint by the Catholic Church? Which “strange avatar” are you referring to?
Secondly, from a review of your posts it appears as though you like to argue.
As I said above, I wish to accurately present the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Thirdly, I would deduct from your circular logic that you are not very intelligent.
Maybe not but it is obvious that I am more knowledgeable of Church teaching than you are.
Now as we all know it is NO sin to be stupid, but according to good manners I would think it only courtesey that if you are abusing the privilege that you take a break from responding to incredibly inane topics.
Then I suggest you follow you own advise and stop posting false statements which contradict the official teachings of the Catholic Church.
I also think you are a gun nut. I am very glad that the rest of us on this site are protected from your “post office” mentality by not actually being subjected to you in person.
I am a responsible gun owner. I am fulfilling Christ gave us to go out and purchase a sword if they did not have one – even if they had to sell their outer cloak in order to buy one (Luke 22:36-38; cf. 2 Corinthians 11:26-27). A plain reading of Luke 22:36-38 indicates that Jesus approved of self-defense. The “sword” (Greek: maxairan) is a dagger or short sword that belonged to the Jewish traveler’s equipment as protection against robbers and wild animals. Pretty much the equilavent of what a gun is today.
Have you obeyed the Lord’s commandment and seen to it that you are properly armed?
Are these observations insults? No. They are opinions based on what you have thus far offered.
They are incorrect conclusions that an ignorant mind will arrive at.
It is also my opinion that you take a little piece of truth and abuse it to try to make a point for the sake of argument.
And it is my opinon that you disregard what the church teaches and find nothing wrong with misleading people with the false information that you present.
Your attempts to appear to be knowledgable are really very transparent.
And your knowledge is even more lacking. Instead of sticking to the topic of discussion, you have chosen to resort to personal attacks because you are unable to defend your own false position.
Barroom mentality is not an asset.
Who resorted to personal attacks? Who hinted that they had some type of private information able this matter which contradicted the teachings of the church?
It is rather the truth about who you really are.
I know who I am. Thank you very much.
It is said that the truth “hurts”, yet it is also said that “the truth will set you free.”
Does that mean that you are going to admit that you were wrong with regards to this matter and that animals do not have immortal souls?
If I were you I would be careful how I responded to this post for based on your typical posts of late,
You are not me and I suggest that you follow your own advise before giving it to others.
you may give credence to these observations, and hence, produce the only “proof” that you can offer.
The “proof” that I offer is from the official teaching of the Catholic Church on this matter. The only “proof” that you can offer is
“I have not been given permission to tell you more.” – hinting at some reference source which disagrees with official church teaching but refusing to name that source or what that comment is suppose to mean.
