Oye, here we go with this question again. :banghead: If you are in the presence of God Almighty, what will you care? You will be too consumed with His magnificence that you won’t notice one way or the other.

It depends…will we still need to eat there…if yes then some chickens and cows had better be there

BUT WONT I HAVE SOME PLAY TIME? 😃 GOD BLESS.

I don’t think that there will be animals in Heaven for many reasons.
1.) We will be souls alone then, and isn’t it our bodies that need food and water? There would be no need for livestock in this case.
2.) I also totally agree with Scott_Lafrance on this on. I think we will be a bit too consumed in His magnificence to be worrying whether animals are in Heaven.
3.) Man, and only Man was created in God’s image.
4.) God gave Man a will, which no animal can boast.

I would go into a bit more detail but at the moment I can’t remember exactly everything, and it would be sketchy at best.

Just what I think though, and a few others I know. Ultimately it’s up to God to let animals into Heaven. But what would an animal have to do in order to get into Heaven?

No scriptures say the lion will lay next to the lamb, ect. There will be animals, but we will be so overwhelmed with God they probably won’t be nearly as interesting.God Bless

You’ve got a point there. Even now…unless I’m eating them, I don’t notice any animals on Earth, so why would I notice them in the afterlife.

I agree, but with a slight twist. I think we will notice them and be one with them so to speak in a different way than we think now. I look at heaven by looking back to the Garden. We were in orginal Justice back then and shall return, though we will call it heaven! Praise Be to God!!!

I can’t wait to go up to a hungary Lion and tickle his belly and make him laugh! Or better yet, go swim with the crocidiles! Bloody beautiful mate!

Hi Lisa, Im glad to see that some know what Gods Word says. How about that great white horse thats coming down? I can see that horse bowing down right now in Gods Kingdom. 😃 Praise God.

I don’t think there will be animals in Heaven, anyway they don’t have a soul.

I said think, plus I was reading some unconfirmed messages about Mary saying that there are no animals in Heaven. Are the messages true ? I don’t know but time will tell. I don’t care if there are animals in Heaven as long as I don’t have to clean up the mess.:bigyikes: http://pages.prodigy.net/indianahaw....prodigy.net/bestsmileys1/emoticons3/frog.gif

Isa. 11:1-10

But a shoot shall sprout from the stump of Jesse, and from his roots a bud shall blossom. The spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him: a spirit of wisdom and of understanding, A spirit of counsel and of strength, a spirit of knowledge and of fear of the LORD,and his delight shall be the fear of the LORD. Not by appearance shall he judge, nor by hearsay shall he decide, But he shall judge the poor with justice, and decide aright for the land’s afflicted. He shall strike the ruthless with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. Justice shall be the band around his waist, and faithfulness a belt upon his hips. Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; The calf and the young lion shall browse together, with a little child to guide them. The cow and the bear shall be neighbors, together their young shall rest; the lion shall eat hay like the ox. The baby shall play by the cobra’s den, and the child lay his hand on the adder’s lair. There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the LORD, as water covers the sea. On that day, The root of Jesse, set up as a signal for the nations, The Gentiles shall seek out, for his dwelling shall be glorious.

I have seen it in scripture that they are in Heaven, but that certainly does not help us get into heaven .And just because they don’t have souls does not mean that God won’t have them there,He’s God and we are not, he can do what he wants. I am Catholic and I think it is halarious that we are arguing as to whether animals are in heaven:rotfl: Looks like some of us have some us the spirituallity of St. Francis in us,huh. God made the aminals and he did a wonderful job and since they can’t sin and they don’t have an eternal soul, does not take away God’s right to do what he wants to with them, if there in heaven great,I see evidence in scripture that they will be,but I am not a theologeon. Regardless, I am going to find out about the personality traits of chihuahuas from God,I marval at his works.God Bles

True it is hilarious that we are debating this, it doesn’t seem right that souls are in Hell and my cat Simba is in Heaven, and she doesn’t even go to confession.http://pages.prodigy.net/indianahawkeye/newpage22/14.gif

So my (name removed by moderator)ut to this thread is over, :amen:

Right now, I am more concerned about whether I am going to make it to heaven to worry about whether my stupid cat is going to be there with me or not. As long as I won’t have to scoop his box anymore, I don’t care whether he is there or feeding earthworms.

You are probably right. I dont think you have to worry about your cat, thats why it was given 9 lives so that you would not have to worry about it. 😃 God Bless

first - to correct a misconception that has cropped up on this thread - we WILL have bodies in heaven, according to the Bible and the church. we will have glorified, resurrected bodies. that’s part of our creed, even. we believe in a bodily resurrection.

now on to the animal question. God created animals in the first place, and called them ‘good’. sure, God is more awesome and beautiful and wonderful than any animal (so we will be overwhelmed with Him), but He made them for our enjoyment, and it is certainly consistent with His nature and previous activity to continue their existence in heaven.

as far as the lion and the lamb, i don’t think that’s necessarily proof for their existence in heaven, as that is probably meant metaphorically to mean that there will be peace in heaven. if it means a literal lion and lamb, great. but i don’t think we can point to those verses and say ‘see? animals.’

i don’t know if the actual animals we’ve known here on earth will be in heaven or not. i hope so. psuche (my cat) is a great little pal to play with, and it would be alot of fun to play with her in heaven, too. and as far as food goes, i doubt if there will be death in heaven, so we probably won’t be eating animals.

so - i believe there will probably be animals in heaven. it seems fitting with what i know of God. i hope the animals i’ve known here will be there, and that also seems consistent with what i know of God. but i don’t know for sure.

as far as the ‘importance’ of the issue, i think that anything that concerns us, anything we think about as people, is something that concerns our Father as well. the Bible says that a sparrow doesn’t fall to the earth without His knowing it. the hairs of our head are numbered, and He has the number. He collects our tears. surely He cares about our every thought and desire, whether it be to grow it, correct it, or fulfill it.

God bless.
