unless you type about 100 words per minut (rare), you just spent about 1/2 hour or so going on and on about something that very few people here care about (my guess).

Are you willing to spend 30 minutes fighting for the unborn some way or another?

are human beings more important than animals to you??

maybe you could post the details of how an abortion is done? (rhetorical question…)

animals do not react to the conditions you mention in the same way as humans…

but that’s rather irrelevent to me because as previous poster said, animals are put here to be used by man…

and from all i have studied about nutrtion, a meat-based diet is healthiest… (if not done to excess)
maybe you should find a thread about the unborn and spend 30 minutes writing in it yourself.

if meat sickens a person, i should not only be sick right now, i should be DEAD…
go live near a factory hog farm manure lagoon like all the people who got sick in la gloria mexico. this flu not likely to kill you… but maybe the next one will.

not to mention unhealthy… of all the people i’ve studied who lived beyond 110 yrs of age, NONE was vegetarian…

the vegetarians i know of all seem to die before they are 65… a lot of them die of cancer…
yes like george harrison. we’ve heard this before. according to your copious research, he died from being vegetarian, not from smoking, as i recall.

Then to back up a bit, Genesis1:29 God also said, ‘Look, to you I give all the seed-bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed-bearing fruit; this will be your food.
30 And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.’ And so it was.
this was before the Fall… (for one thing) and for another thing there IS something in Genesis about man being told to eat animals… I will find it by tomorrow…

When man fell, his body fell with him… death entered into the picutre… we have to eat meat to rejuvenate our cells & organs, which are made up of Protein, Fat and water… & very little else… Meat (esp pork) is the most body’friendly food there is… (my educated opinion).
And even the Pope! Cardinal Ratzinger , echoing official church teachings, as laid out in the Catholic Catechism, which states clearly that “Animals are God’s creatures. He surrounds them with his providential care. By their mere existence they bless him and give him glory. Thus men owe them kindness. We should recall the gentleness with which saints like St. Francis of Assisi or St. Philip Neri treated animals. . . . It is contrary to human dignity to cause animals to suffer or die needlessly.”
Matthew 17:17Jesus replied, “You unbelieving and corrupt generation! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you?”:banghead:
oh please…

are you a cafeteria Bible reader? 😃
I have read my bible in the cafeteria. I remember you from a previous incarnation here at CAF. You’re mean spirited and full of misinformation but act like you are somebody.
I couldn’t take anything you say seriously because you are just plain,…
frustrating.:banghead:

Admit it, you work for Smithfield…😉
Actually I am on lay off and nothing better to do than argue with misinformed people.
As for smithfield,…I think they do have one of their nasty pits of biohazard festering malignancy in this state somewhere. We did have quite a few cases of swine flu reported here.

You just *know *you are on CAF when there is such a spirit of charity and Christian brotherhood in these exchanges. :ouch:

You add nothing to the discussion by calling people names, GottaKnow.

I know. I’m sorry. But, i had to try and nip in the bud before it spread.Trust me, I have dealt with her before. I was even the one to apologize when she should’ve just to keep the peace and I am not going to take again.

This seemed to get lost when the melee started .:slapfight: So, I will post it again.👍
QUOTE=Sean Boyle;5192512]Maybe you should try a personal sacrifice to give glory to God. God seems to be missing in this vegan sacrifice for the good of all people, spin.

Has anyone else notice it?..

For the animals, for peace, for the poor(but not really), for my health, why doesn’t God play must of a larger role in this train of thought? It’s more about what makes “me” feel good about myself.
It is all about God. I have learned to keep quiet about that part because, A) it doesn’t work with Atheists,…and B) you guys will start saying stupid stuff like “holier-than-thou” and “you think you’re better than us” and all sorts of childish nonsense. As a matter of fact, many Catholic Vegans started at Lent and stayed. I myself consider it to be in reparation for the cruel and unnecessary violence towards the helpers God gave us (and I am not alone). Genesis 2:8 Yahweh God said, ‘It is not right that the man should be alone. I shall make him a helper.’
19 So from the soil Yahweh God fashioned all the wild animals and all the birds of heaven. These he brought to the man to see what he would call them; each one was to bear the name the man would give it.

I don’t see anything about eating animals in there. So, it was obviously NOT HIS ORIGINAL intention. (of course , I am pretty sure you will ignore that).

When God finally allows eating animals He gives an exception and a warning
Genesis 9:4… with this exception: you must not eat flesh with life, that is to say blood, in it.
5 And I shall demand account of your life-blood, too. I shall demand it of every animal, and of man. Of man as regards his fellow-man, I shall demand account for human life.
Sorta sounds like he is saying,“You must account for everything you kill, animals and man.”
