A great book concerning the “ex-gay movement” is “Anything But Straight”…the “ex-gay” poster boy and the founders of Exodus Int’l…“reverted”…the book is an expose on the movement. There are actually seven different sexual orientations:
Changing sexual behavior doesn’t mean the sexual orientation has changed. There are a handful of studies which managed to dig up some anecdotal evidence that a microscopic fraction of self-proclaimed “ex-gays” managed to change their sexual orientation and not just their behavior but the ability to change sexual orientation has not been scientifically proven (which would actually be very easy to determine either way if the “ex-gays” were willing to participate in such a study).
- Heterosexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions exclusively for the opposite sex of the appropriate age.
- Regressed Heterosexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions exclusively for the opposite sex with no regard to age (including children).
- Bisexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions for both opposite same sex of the appropriate age.
- Regressed Bisexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions for both opposite same sex with no regard to age (including children).
- Homosexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions exclusively for the same sex of the appropriate age.
- Regressed Homosexuality - Sexual feelings, desires, and emotions exclusively for the same sex with no regard to age (including children)
- Fixated - Sexual feelings desires and emotions exclusively for children with no regard to gender.
With sufficient motivation a person with “bi-sexual” orientation CAN live a reasonably happy life with an opposite sex partner…but sexual orientation IS fixed and cannot be changed…whether through prayer…“miracles”…chanting…or “therapy”…it is set in stone.
