There’s a great symbol of a fish eating one of those evolving Darwin fish. It’s great two-fold because not only does it show the superiourity of Christianity, but, it also uses the theory of Survival of the Fittest. 😃
now that’s cute!:yup:

Jumping on here kind of late…

Returning to my car this afternoon after grocery shopping I noticed someone had put a note under my wiper. First I thought someone hit me and left their insurance info or something like that. But no…it was a note in response to my pro-life stickers. One says “Abortion: Stops a beating heart” and the other I made and put in the side window near my child’s car seat that states “You want peace? Peace begins in the womb” (I made that because I was so fed up with all the “peaceful” people who think it’s okay to kill the most innocent. Every time I turned around I’d see a car with a “Image peace” sticker next to their “Keep abortion legal” one kwim?

So what did her note say? “With 77,000 members of MCCL, how come there are so many children waiting to be adopted?”

Talk about annoying! Was she serious?

I don’t think that this sticker is all that bad, really. On my old car, I used to have one that said:

“Pro-Life and Armed to Kill”
~Trigger-happy vigilantes for the pre-born~

I had this one right next to my:

“Honk if you ARE Jesus” sticker.

I think that these were much more offensive than the one mentioned to start this thread.

(…since then, I’ve mellowed considerably!..)

Peace.

I had a great instructor on moral teaching as well. A Jesuit teacher, name Fr. Patrick (Packy) Boyle. My bumper sticker shows an ultrasound picture and the caption is “Woman, behold your Son!”
That’s just wonderful!!! Where can I get one?

That’s nice, but it doesn’t make much headway with the pro-aborts, because they don’t buy into your premise that it’s murder to begin with. You must first convince them of the humanity of the “fetus.”
What I honestly do not understand is why people don’t understand the humanity of a baby. We are all human beings now. We were all fetuses at some point. How can a fetus NOT be a human being?

Perhaps the logic comes from a view of a baby as a parasite? That’s what it seems to me when women talk about how it’s “their body.”

I have heard that a very, VERY small percentage of abortions occur due to rape or incest. So that argument is pretty much useless because it is so rare. That’s without considering the fact that God brings good out of bad things, and those children could be a huge blessing.

I was just behind a woman on the high way with a bumper sticker that read “If you don’t trust me with a choice, why would you trust me with a child?”

I can only say AUGHHHHHHHHH!!! :banghead: :banghead:

It’s about *her *choice, and whether or not we trust her, not about whether or not the child should be murdered.

Personally, for someone to publicly display such a morally shallow belief disregarding the life of a child, then I don’t trust them with the choice or the child.

Sorry. Vented a bit. I just hate to see such an obvious evil not only defended, but trivialized and marginalized in such a petty manner.

Blessings to all.
It is quite annoying. Its sad it’s not still illegal, although I doubt it will ever not be legal again. If you give people an inch they’ll take a mile.

While it may be annoying they are permitted to have any bumper sticker ontheir car they want to. I have seen a few offensive right wing ones as well and simply ignore them.

I cannot speak for the rationale of some pro-choice people, but when I was a materialist atheist, I thought that a fetus was nothing more than a particular conglomoration of cells, etc. The logic never fully worked with me, as one must in good conscience allow for a time when the fetus becomes more than that, and eventually a baby outside the womb, then a child, adolescent, adult, etc. I was always on the fence about abortion until I allowed God’s grace to work in me to have faith. Now it’s obvious. I always thought I was being consistent in not being sure either way about abortion. Perhaps it’s a question of the distinction between the ontological status of the aborted, and the moral action of aborting. I’m sure it’s the case that many pro-abort folks investigate one at the expense of the other. Then there is the vast majority of pro-abort folks who simply do not think about it very deeply, and do not want to, for obvious, and not so obvious reasons.

God Bless

Jon

Best pro-life sticker I saw:

Guns don’t kill people.
Abortion mills kill people.

I have a subtle one that says on my car

“A person is a person no matter how small”

It registers alot, even with the liberals at times.

There was a woman who lived in the same complex as my husband and I. Her bumper sticker said “I’m pro-choice and I vote”. I left a note on her windshield that said, “I’m pro-life and my vote CANCELS your vote!” 😃

I too, am frustrated by this. By the time a woman knows she’s pregnant, that baby already has a heartbeat. How can something with a heartbeat, not be alive? And as for the incest/rape thing, I’m sorry…no one wants to go through that, but does your pain make it okay for you to kill someone else?

What’s really sad is that I used to teach a morality class to high school students. I asked them once at what point life began. Every one of them dutifully answered, “at conception”. Then I asked, “what does conception mean?” Not one of them could answer. sigh.

I once saw a shirt for babies that read “I Survived Roe vs. Wade”. Not that I’m into using children to make political statements, but I thought it was rather witty.

I’ve thought of having a shirt made for my dog that says, “I only bite pro-aborts”.

What a contradiction.

The choice is either killing the child, or not killing the child. I do not trust anyone who kills their own child within their own womb, or allows it and even pays for it. So no, I do not trust them if they even consider the “choice” between killing the child within them or not killing the child.

The one on my car is a little less antagonistic.

Him I donlt think any prochoice consider the fetus not a human. Are you sure they are not refering to personhood and therefore legal protection under the law?

lol, that is kinda witty though.
In the last year, I have had at least 5 perfect strangers come up to me and compliment me on it. And they all got the message, adoption is a completely reasonable and loving alternative to abortion. One or two of the strangers revealed to me that they are adopted and were glad that their mother chose not to kill them.
