Though I’m not pregnant yet, I like to think of what I’d name my children. Since I don’t know how many I’ll be having, it’s hard to prioritize amongst my favorite names.

Some advice would be fun!

The poll is open to more than one vote, so please vote for one girl name and one boy name only!! 👍

I like Isabella Fleur, but I don’t really like any of the names for the lads, that being said I abstained as far as that goes. My sister is obsessed with baby names. She likes the older names like Veronica, Bernadette, and Lucrezia (Pronounced like LucreTzia)

I tend to like royal names and/or names that are more unique and not overused. 🙂

I can appreciate royal names. How about multiple middle names? HIM Otto von Habsburg’s (God rest his soul) full name was Franz Joseph Otto Robert Maria Anton Karl Max Heinrich Sixtus Xavier Felix Renatus Ludwig Gaetan Pius Ignatius. I suggest Benedict as a middle name - as a sign of fealty to the Vicar of Christ Benedict XVI.

I am a mother of three and I like unusual names as well. I also go for three names instead of two. It’s just my thing, I guess. Their names are:

Jadis Autumn Grace- Jadis is from “The Chronicles Of Narnia”. Autumn is the season she was born. Grace is in tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Adora Giovanni Maria- Adora is from the 80s cartoon “She-Ra”. Giovanni Maria was the name of Blessed Pope Pius IX.

Anakin Jude Benedict- Anakin is from “Star Wars”. Jude and Benedict are both from the saints.

If I have a boy, I want him to have the name Joseph Patrick and if I have a girl I want her to have the name Anna Maria… so Joseph Patrick Liston and Anna Maria Liston… of course, I’m only 18, and unmarried, so no kids for me… yet.

Oh dear Lord, please don’t name a child Anakin! 😛

my thoughts, name by name:

Isabella Fleur: It’s a nice name, but you said that you are going for names “that are more unique and not overused.” This being the case, you should take into consideration that Isabella has recently become very popular in the English-speaking world. In the US, it has been either the most popular or second most popular names for baby girls for the past five years.
Savannah Maia: Savannah sounds bright and cheerful. Maia is a wonderful name and I think that the two go well together.
Blair Giselle: I can see while people like these names, but I don’t, Giselle in particular because I always got the feeling that it was trying to hard to sound pretty.
Cedric Sebastian: These are very noble names. I really like them . . . separately. Having two “S” sounds in a row bugs me. If the middle names for this one and the next one were switched, I no issues with either Cedric Luke or Alexander Sebastian (although that might be a bit long.)
Alexander Luke: Nothing special, but nothing wrong.
Xavier Vincent: Xavier is a automatic epic win and Vincent complements it well

Too late…he is a month old today. I had him on Father’s Day and his father picked out the name. We are both Star Wars fans…our first date was to see episode 3 in theaters. Most of my family calls him Jude or A.J.

You can’t go wrong if you go with Saints’ names.

If it were me, I’d stick to girl names for girls, and boy names for boys, and avoid anything too ambiguous, for first names. For middle names, you can mix it up, but I wouldn’t name a girl “Blair” for her first name, since that’s more typically a boy’s name. In any case, it isn’t a Saint’s name, so for me, it would be out on that fact alone.

I went with Isabella when I voted, but I didn’t actually see any girl names that I liked on your list.

I would also avoid any kind of cutesy spelling; you would be sentencing the poor child to even longer waits in the DMV than people whose names are easy to spell have to endure.

😦

Well, AJ is okay. And Jude is okay. But when he gets to school, they are going to read his real name out loud in front of the whole class…

😦

I had difficulty choosing because to me, almost all of them are beautiful names.

Actually, I am planning on homeschooling. I’m sorry you don’t like the name, but it is special to my husband. He wanted his first son to be named Anakin…

I think it’s an awesome name. I’m a traditional name type of person myself though.

Maybe she is hoping it will build character, like “the boy named Sue.” 😉
I am hoping it will build character. The story of Anakin Skywalker is a story of redemption. It shows that no matter how evil someone appears…there is always good in that person. I hope he (my son) always remembers that.

Well, that’s good. I totally support homeschooling, and my opinion is just that of some lady on the internet, so 🤷

Can you at least do me a favor and never call him “Anny?” 😛

😃
