Another Bishop on the Popes comments..read them...as opposed to media

I would never trust the mass media when it comes to the Church; they always get things wrong.
 
The problem is Father Lombardi’s elaboration on these quotes to include female prostitutes. There’s no way to know if Lombardi was shooting from the hip or passing along something that Benedict wanted him to clarify. Knowing the politics that goes on behind the scenes, it would not shock me if there were elements inside the Vatican that would take advantage of such a murky statement to try and reduce the efficacy of the Pope’s personal opinions.
