I don’t believe you are wrong on this. As a convert from a mainline Protestant church I can’t see how anyone can walk away from the Eucharist. I can’t understand how anyone can choose to practice anything other than the truth found in the Catholic Church. That may be different for the average cradle Catholic who doesn’t know a whole lot about what other denominations and non Christian churches teach. They may have a curiosity to check it out. It certainty is easier to be Protestant, no obligations, no confession, no strict standards for marriage, baptize your kids or not, go to church or not. Head into any old church and take communion if they’re offering it that Sunday, no big deal, it’s only a symbol anyway. I know I’m being facetious and I’m not trying to offend anyone. I was part of that culture for far to many years of my life.
I have no desire to go to CARM and participate in a forum of ignorant people. IMO - A place like that is a bad place to get fair & balanced information, a bit like CNN.
