Actually how sad is the OP’s post. This stuff is happening daily in our society. It happened to a best friend of mine. Her husband was in love with a co worker, no physical affair , but he told my friend he’d leave her for the co worker. they had been married for 18-20 years at the time, and he was getting a lot of attention from this younger woman at work.

I actually gave her a book by joyce myers, Help me God I’m married. My friend realized she had been taking her husband for granted. Also come to find out, this young co worker did not feel the same way my friends husband had. My friend and her husband are still married several years later, and they have a strong marriage now.

The grass always looks greener till you get over the fence and one brings the same weeds with them. I think its more running away from oneself than running to another, looking for a void to be filled. We live in a self centered, selfish society with many unhappy people that don’t appreciate what they have in life, were all victims of ourselves.

Precisely, it’s nothing to so with the ‘love interest’, i.e. they do not ‘love’ the other person, they’re infatuated with them, flattered, ego massaged, their boredom is relieved temporarily and so on, but nothing more than that. I am glad that your friend and husband were able to nip it in the bud and save their marriage. Also, the media fuels this type of behaviour, through the so-called celebrity lifestyles marry/divorce 3-7 times, all for ‘love’, that many people feelthey too can emulate.

Either this, the other one or both are trolls. Way too many similarities.

Both with children, both not having gone all the way yet, both males infatuated with a co-worker and their use of the English language is at about the same level.

Either way, There has been more than enough advice on the other thread.
It’s getting old already.

Alright, enough of my book. Any advice??? I love this woman more than anything in life but I am between a rock and a hard place.

Thanks.
Curtis
Here’s my advice: Quit messing around with married women. The advice goes double when you are married.

How many clichés can you put into such a small space? The reason was cause and effect. The cause was your stupidity. The effect was disaster. The lesson to learn is that if you haven’t grown up by the time you get to your age, you will draw the short straw.
.
Very accurate observation. There’s nothing here too deep to wade through.
OK. This woman you fancy, she’s with another man. Her husband. Stay the hell away from her and leave their marriage alone.

You. Deal with the consequences of your stupidity. Grow up. Then, maybe, try to reconcile with your wife. I’ll let others answer that.
Best advice that this person can follow.

I gave my advice to Curtis: Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Christ. But to all of you who think you are “above” such temptation, I would advise you not to think that you are not capable of such things. Some of these responses have been filled with such pride, arrogance and lack of compassion that it is shocking. Those who think they “never could” may simply have never been exposed to their own particular Achillies’ heel. Anyone who says Curtis is stupid for committing such sins–what about your sins? Aren’t your sins, the ones in which you deny God, just as stupid? I am amazed at the lack of charity here. And don’t be mistaken, I am not condoning his behavior–I’ve just lived long enough to know that anyone who says, “I would never” will usually be shown by God that he or she, without grace, certainly would! For those of you who, in your pride, think you’re above such a sin as this, should, perhaps, take heed: *1 Cor 10:12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! *

I’ve mentioned this before but I will again here:

Three years ago I left my husband of almost a decade for a co-worker. Long story short, it was wrong.

I’ve left a mess of pain that rivals the injured soldiers scene in Gone with the Wind.

Thank you for your honesty. Your testimony of “been there, done that” is just what some of the people reading this thread who might be in a similar situation need, and you provide a credible voice that may indeed help others to avoid this disaster.

God bless you for using your sad experience in such a positive way. May He bring you and your family healing and happiness.
