Another Kennedy blasts bishops over abortion [CC]

Former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the eldest child of Robert F. Kennedy, has blasted the nation’s bishops for opposing the use of federal funds to pay for abortions. Mrs. Townsend is the first cousin of Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), whom Bishop Thomas Tobin has publicly called to repentance and conversion for supporting abortion.

“There are millions of pro-abortion rights Catholics who understand that women faced with unintended pregnancies or complications in wanted pregnancies have to make difficult, complex decisions for themselves and their families,” Mrs. Townsend writes. “They do not make the decision to have an abortion lightly and without weighing all of their options. They must retain the ability to make this decision and the ability to access the care they need, whatever their choice may be. That means they must have access to health insurance that covers abortion care-- just as millions of Americans must have access to affordable health insurance and health care.”

She has the audacity to speak for millions of Catholics! Isn’t that what Bishops do? Yet, she is under the delusion that she herself is a Catholic.
The concept of pro-abortion ‘rights’ is a testimony to her monumental ignorance of what a ‘right’ is; as well as to the darkness of her soul.
We have only three ‘rights’ Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of happiness (notice Life is listed first, simply because it is essential for the two that follow) all of which are denied to the babies she advocates murdering with my tax dollars. Unimaginable…

I sincerely wish that - barring a miraculous conversion experience - the Kennedys would simply become Episcopalian and stop trying to convince people, and themselves, that real Catholics can support abortion…ever.

So, according to her, if one ‘thinks the decision through enough’ and ‘doesn’t take it lightly’ one should have the authority to kill a child in the womb?

Well, hush ma mouf. Now the next time somebody comes up for murder of a born person all they have to do is tell the judge, “Listen here, Your Honor. I didn’t take this lightly, you know. It was a very complex decision I had to make for me and my family. I thought it through and hey, I just had to kill this person.”

And the judges should dismiss the case because, hey, after all, he thought it through and didn’t take it lightly???

Well, it’s official. The Kennedys are no longer a Catholic family. You knew the family was on the downhill skids when Joseph wanted to let Hitler do as he pleased.

The ones I feel sorry for are those in the Kennedy family who actually are still Catholic. But of course, they don’t make the papers. Only the spoiled brats get ink.

They are really, really, really, really arrogant people. We don’t need to worry, too much, though, the Bible tells us what happens to arrogant people. In fact Mother Mary tells us too…“He has scattered the proud in their conceit.” I think awful things must await them barring some major conversion.

Of course, a real Catholic would help a woman faced with a crisis or difficult pregnancy instead of directing them to the nearest abortion clinic.

Well, hush ma mouf (I have never heard that but I love it…). That is an awesome point. Lots of issues & thinking went in to slave owners’ minds, too. I’m sure they didn’t take those decisions lightly. Evidently the judge should pay the defendent to kill, also. Millions of us Catholics apparently know that women must retain access to this choice & that it must be paid for, evidently.
