No it was not an attempt at anything other than to clear up whom the Catholic Church defines as its members. And wrong. They may or may not be as faithful as you. But are considered Catholic. Besides the CCC and the Pontifical Council writings I offered, I could also FAX a letter from a bishop explaining who is considered a Catholic by the Church. But I’m certain you are actually aware, as in a previous post you affirmed as well who the Church may define as being in the Catholic Church. Perhaps semantics comes into play because some perhaps have difficulty with this teaching. But indeed carry on. God bless you along your lifelong journey of faith and peace.
Some one who identifies themselves as Catholic and then misleads as to what the Catholic Church Teaches, besides being guilty of one of the two sins I listed before, is also guilty of scandal if they lead anyone away from what the Church Teaches.

The only reason to bring up who is or who is not a Catholic in this discussion that I can see is to lead away from the actual discussion into some side issue that really has no meaning.

I don’t know why you continue to argue with me. 🤷 As I’m not the one who brought it up telling a Catholic to change affiliation to non. And that poster has affirmed and acknowledged theologically I am correct.

And since of course being even among the most faithfully adhering does not exclude the possibility of sin in one’s life, I have no idea what the point was of you bringing up now who is guilty of sin. But nevertheless I am done discussing this with you on this thread. Peace be with you.

I would remind you hxcCatholic that until you intend to follow what the Church teaches you should change your religious affiliation from Roman Catholic to Non-Catholic as you may confuse people as to what the Catholic Church may teach and it can cause scandal for others who do profess the Catholic faith.
Lol:clapping: I’ll keep that in mind when I preach my first homily 👍
