Another LDS Exaltation Question!

FAIR is really good at refuting Mormon prophets (so-called). Cracks me up. Lorenzo Snow, or some wiki writer, and so many Mormons take sides with the wiki. Rock on.

Don’t be fooled by these Mormons. Their new thing is hiring one of the biggest PR firms in the world to try to make them appear Christian. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. No matter how hard they will try to tell you different, they still believe in:

Polytheism - God was a mortal man like we are and was exalted to Godhood. God had father God, grandfather God, great-grandfather God and so on. Thus there are an infinite number of Gods in the universe.

Mary conceived litterally by God himself.

Baptism for the dead and temple ordinances for salvation.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit separate Gods. Three, not one

God has a body of flesh and bones

Polygamy/polyandry is a sacred ordinance that will be practised again.

God is married in heaven

Satan and Jesus are brothers

Christs sacrifice doesn’t cover certain sins.

Denies the divinity of Jesus Christ.

Can be saved only by obeying the word of wisdom (no coffee, tea, or alcohol), paying a full tithe (10 percent of GROSS income) and completing temple ordinances.

I don’t disagree that you may have been taught such by some member or few members. However, I suspect it was a rather isolated incidence. At the end of the day we could go back and forth stating our opinions. So to put this to bed, please find a Sunday School, Seminary, Institute, or other lesson manual used in the church within the last 50 years which teaches that members will be “god’s of their own worlds”. If you can find such then you will at least have a leg to stand on.

I found tons of them. Check out my posts below. If you want more I have more. Why don’t you Mormons have the moral courage to stand behind your beliefs instead of always having to dance around them. It has to do with image and marketing, doesn’t it? Mormon leaders are now saying to you, what the current prophet says is more important than previous prophets. Does that mean that past prophets taught false doctrine? If they were true prophets of God, why would their words not be as important today as they were a hundred years ago? That doesn’t makes sense. Did God change his mind?

The LORD said to me: “What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. Let me try and give the LDS perspective…

To be perfect as written in Matt 5:48 is to be complete, fully formed, or finished. God is fully formed and there is no attribute or knowledge he does not posses. Thus He is perfect.

Progression then is not about reaching a greater level of perfection. Instead, God progresses in glory and honor as he exalts his children. Here is how Joseph Smith said it:

Thus God will ever be our Father and we will ever be his children. We will never reach his “level” of exaltation worlds without end.

How do you know you never will? He’s just an exalted man that committed all of the sins you and you neighbors commit, but over came them. Why can’t you be honest about what you teach? No matter how hard you mormons try to show you are Christian, you never will. I’ve never heard that quote by JS. What is the reference?
