Pro-America Rally Held Outside U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv
Rally aims to remind the U.S. that Israel stands with the American people
(10/2/2012)

…“We wish to remind our friends in the US that there is only one country in the Middle East that shares the values of freedom and liberty; one country in the Middle East that the US can always count on for support,” the group writes on its Facebook page. “Israel stands with the American people against those who would like to see the fall of Western values.”

The rally was stirred by the many unfolding events of the past few weeks during which U.S. embassies were attacked throughout the Middle East and amid reports and criticism that the U.S. is lessening its support for Israel, especially in regards to the ongoing threat from Iran.

Why? What were you expecting? 😉

Good for Isreal! We have at least one friend in the Middle East…:):)🙂

Way to go, Israel:cool:
Israel? No. One Israeli group. The rally was organized by Im Tirzu, not by the Israeli Government.

If an Israeli pro-choice group was demonstrating in support of American pro-choicers, would you say, “Way to go, Israel”? 🤷

When the Azzurri win the World Cup, I cheer WAY TO GO ITALIA, even though it’s only 11 men. 😉

Also, I don’t recall hearing or seeing any pro-USA rallies in any Muslim country, government backed or not.

The only thing that wrong with this story is the actions of the American government. Why is our embassy in Tel Aviv? It should be in Jerusalem.

Anyways, Go Israel! Go Zionists! Roll Tide!

The reason for many of the anti-American “demonstrations” one sees in the Moslem countries, is that they are government sponsored, with many of the demonstrators-especially those shown on TV-being paid.
These governments use these demonstrations as a bargaining chip to get what they want from us and they depend on the naivete of the American public to pressure our politicians to cave into these regimes.
It was not too many years ago that “Yankee go Home” signs proliferated in Europe-especially in France (under DeGaulle) - until we started to cut back on Foreign Aid money to them in the late 1950’s.
Unfortunately, our relationship with the various regimes in the Near and Mid-Eastern countries is similar to what we used to do in South America - bribing the regime to keep them away from the Communists was cheaper than using other means to keep the peace- and freedom of the local people was not a consideration.

Yeah, I like the Blues myself.

Then you missed the pro-America rally in Bengazi in the aftermath of the murders there, when so many demonstrated to show that they appreciated what we and especially Amb. Stevens did for them.

But, you have a point there. I don’t recall hearing or seeing any pro-USA rallies in Great Britain or Germany or Spain or Italy, not lately or even ever. 🤷

Paragraph 1: I stand (happily) corrected 🙂

Paragraph 2: true, sadly

The U.S. is not without at least former friends in the Middle East. The Kurds in Iraq were always supportive, and the Sunni leaders became so, before we abandoned both. Now, perhaps not.

Actually, there were counter-protests in Muslim and Arab countries apologising for the anti-US violence.
