Proxy? Sheesh! :dts:

I’m suggesting that given the option of a liturgy in union with the pope or a schismatic liturgy, he NOT take part in a schismatic liturgy.
what’s a schismatic liturgy?

what’s a schismatic liturgy?
In the sense it was used, it is a disparagement of a Divine Liturgy celebrated by those who have not added papal supremacy and infallibility to the dogmas of the church.

The claim is that we Orthodox Catholics lack something, being the pope of Rome.

All our bishops sit on St. Peter’s throne, as does Patriarch Ignatius IV in his original See of Antioch. We lack nothing.

That’s not the sense at all.

You know that neither one of us can receive communion in the other’s Church.

Jesus selected only ONE man to be Peter. He didn’t call anyone else Peter, nor did He look at all the other apostles as Peter.
