What bothers me most about Anti-Catholics is how they always refer to us as “Precious Roman Catholics.”

They act as if they actually care about us, and then when we call them on it, they get all humble (like David Cloud and his “I am just a simple preacher” bull) or offended (“I am just trying to help you not go to hell!” one Anti-Catholic told me).

“Precious Roman Catholics” my behind.
Maybe they are not anti-Catholic, but anti-Catholicism. They have love for the people, but believe the teachings of the Church to be error.

There is a difference.

The difference between loving a person but not their beliefs or behaviors, versus, hating the person because of their beliefs and behaviors.

Even though you don’t appreciate their “efforts” on your behalf, they may truly be acting out of love.

As a non-Christian, I sometimes find people trying to save me, they are anti-non Christian religions, but they are acting out of love and what they believe to be truth and my best interests. I try to keep that in mind, even while they mock my faith.

The problem is that the commandments are the beginning of love. Bearing false witness is not loving your brother and they bear false witness alot about what we believe. If they truly loved they would be careful to state Catholicism as it is taught and then try refute it. I keep hearing this one anti-catholic woman on the radio say that catholics believe Mary is appearing everywhere simultaneously and therefore omnipresent. She has no quote from any Catholic that says we believe she appears everywhere simulanteously, though even if she was appearing in multiple places at once it is quite clear that it would not fit the definition of omnipresent because she would still be appearing in a finite number of places, kind of like george bush appearing on 60 million tv’s at once. Big deal. Does she think the "technology (i.e. the power of God) in heaven allows us to do less than on earth?🤷
