Hi everyone, I want to talk to you about something…

Online, I saw the “testimony” of “Angelica Zambrano” a Protestant girl who claimed to have a “Near Death Experience” in which she saw people (relatives and celebrities) and one of them was Pope John Paul II

There was another testimony by a girl named ''Janet Balderas Canela" another Protestant girl who saw a vision of Mary commanding Catholics not to “worship” her, saying she can’t save them and stuff like that.

I don’t what to make of this honestly, what is your opinion on this?

My reaction is one of profound skepticism. Honestly, unless you are in dialogue with someone who believes one of these “visions” or something like that I wouldn’t bother with them any more than I’d bother with someone claiming to have had a vision of Shiva or an encounter with a space alien. In a world of seven billion people and instantaneous communication you’re going to get a lot of weird claims floating around, and we have to pick and choose what we spend our time paying attention to.

Was Pope John Paul II in heaven? 😉 You never said where she saw him.

And she was right about Mary. We are supposed to venerate her, not worship her. 😉 And Jesus saves, albeit through Mary.

So I have no problem with these. Catholics who worship Mary and think Mary is the one who saves should rethink and stop doing what they are doing. Of course, people who pray the rosary aren’t worshipping Mary.

This is obviously mere anti-Catholic propaganda.
Catholics do not worship Mary anyhow. Those “visions” are lies that Protestants produce in order… Well, in order to keep order in their heretical institutions that have were devised by mortal men. I used to be a heretic (Protestant) and they’d make up all kinds of lies bashing the Catholics but it’s just lies. The truth is there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

I did read the Angelica Zambrano “vision”, and it seemed pretty illogical to me. I mean, kids in hell because of video games? Really? She’s also an Evangelical Christian, which doesn’t fit well with Catholicism.

I never read the Janet Balderas Canela story, but it doesn’t surprise me Mary supposedly spoke to a PROTESTANT girl and told her for Catholics not to worship her. If Mary would indeed had to reveal this if what were were doing was wrong (and it’s not), then why wouldn’t she go to Catholics themselves? Obviously if it’s just some Protestant girl, the majority of Catholics will not believe her.

Anywho, there’s an equal amount of Catholic private revelations that reveal that the Blessed Mother does indeed interceed for us to her Son. I don’t know what that one girl’s vision meant by that Mary can’t “save” us. We never thought she could. 🤷

So, obviously these so-called revelations can contradict themselves, and obviously some (if not all) people are lying.

I remember reading articles on the Zambrano vision, and out of the whole entire vision, the only thing that people talked about was John Paul II in “hell”. They used this as a case to bash Catholicism, which is a pretty weak one. I even saw articles with Protestant pastors making sure that they have that part read during Sunday services. 🤷

Anyways, don’t worry about them. Just continue following the Church that has been standing strong for 2000 years. Honestly, if every single person before 1500 was Catholic (and Orthodox since 1054), then where did they all go? Hell? That’s pretty absurd.

All visions are suspect until the Vatican says otherwise… so I don’t hold out much hope for these!😉

Wouldn’t it be fun explaining that to this (fake) visionary?

There are a lot of liars in the world, fakes, frauds. Maybe her vision was Satanic? Maybe it was induced by a drug or some bad hit on the head she had?

The devil keeps pretty busy. We can all vouch for that. It’s not hard to see the source of this ‘vision’.

One of the websites that has the transcripts from the visions of Angelica Zambrano says John Paul II is in hell. The visionary claims Jesus told her this: “He (John Paul II) would not offer reality; would not say that hell is real and that heaven also exists; Daughter, now he is here in this place.”

John Paul II did speak of heaven and hell and did say it was real. JPII teachings can be documented in many places to include the Catechism of the Catholic Church for which JPII approved.

Therefore, these visions are proven not to be of Godly origin. Jesus cannot speak a falsehood and it has been proven the quoted statement above is false.

The internet can be used for good but also has many ungodly things. The website that promotes these ungodly visions is one of them.

God bless.

The vision by Angelica is false. Plain and simple. I’m not even going to write about it because it simply isn’t even worth my time.

As for the other vision by a girl called Canela, I haven’t heard of it. But there is nothing wrong with the message. Some Catholics have taken revering Mary way too far, and she is simply reminding the faithful that she can not save. I’m not sure about the authenticity of the vision, but it’s perfectly in conformity with biblical and church teaching.

She saw Pope John Paul II, Michael Jackson, and Selena (Mexican American singer who was murdered in the 90s) in Hell. She claims that those who listen to Michael Jackson or Selena’s music will go straight to Hell.

I’m not sure this type of thing is allowed for discussion on here or not…

if such a thing happened, I don’t have a problem with the great evangelizer appearing to a protestant. And I believe that Mary would be the first to say don’t worship me.
No, Catholics don’t worship Mary but I believe some blur the lines.

Some of us spend an incredible amount of time, energy and money trying to get to apparition sites and don’t realize how much more special any parish Church is where the Blessed Sacrament is present.
I was once someone who thought the Blessed Mother was the end-all be-all. I believe it was she who whispered into my heart-“Not me- go to my Son”.
As a church, no we don’t worship Mary, but as individuals, sometimes it comes dangerously close. Devotion to the Mother of God is a good thing. But Choosing to pray to her instead of attending Mass, or believing a pilgrimage to an apparition site is more special than visiting our Lord in the tabernacle-- well we still have a lot of educating to do.

well, then she was obviously wrong. Hasn’t she heard of a thing called forgiveness (even if listening to Michael Jackson sent you to Hell)? I mean Jesus didn’t say, “There is a sin that is unforgivable–listening to Michael Jackson!” What, did the Pharisees reply, “Who’s that?” The Sadducees reply, “Never heard of him.” (The Apostles start panicking and run away. :D;))?

Some people have weird visions. That’s why we need the Church to confirm or deny their authenticity. Unfortunately Evangelical Protestants don’t have that authority…

Agreed with you. I think it’s a bit too easy [and surprisingly ironic] to just blow this off as Satanism or a delusional experience - people should at least look at what’s being presented. It was not specifically mentioned whether or not this alleged warning was applied to all Catholics [as if saying that all Catholics worship Mary] or just the few who do apparently worship her.

As for Mary not being able to save people - that’s too general of a statement to come to a conclusion on.

Disregard all this.

Hmmm, then that kind of damages my faith in this person - I’ve always heard that Pope John Paul II was in heaven.

Plus, music is not inherently evil [even if it IS pop] unless it’s Satanic. MJ has some weird stuff but only one of his songs [so far as I know] could even be attempted to be classed as “Satanic”.

Which one song would that be?

JPII is not in hell. That is one of the points of this discussion of these ungodly visions.
