Legislature that undermines the family is more destructive than a nuclear bomb, an Asian prelate said at the closing Mass of the 51st International Eucharistic Congress, concluded on January 31 in Cebu, the Philippines.

“More than any nuclear bomb, more than any terrorism, a mortal danger awaits humanity because some countries have chosen a path of destroying families through laws,” said Cardinal Charles Maung Bo of Yangon, Myanmar. He presided at the closing Mass as the official legate of Pope Francis to the International Eucharistic Congress.
