I am caucasian. When I filled out a job application a few years back that needed to be filed with our police department, and I needed to be fingerprinted, both requirements for this employment, I was appalled when they asked my race on the application. To me, that was clearly targeting race, otherwise, why would the question have been there? I knew it wouldn’t get me the job, but I wrote in “human” on the line for “race”. I wasn’t trying to be funny. I was making a point, and a necessary one.

Seeing as this is a Catholic forum would it be appropriate to say we are all Gods children…no matter the color of our skin…no matter the country where we were born
Jesus loves the little children.
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in his sight.
Jesus lives the little children of the world.
but of course people here on CAF can’t agree on much of anything so we’re all Gods children will never happen.
False, the fact that we disagree on policies has no impact on God’s love for us.
I have seen not a single post, from a single person here at CAF express otherwise.

And, is there a point to this post and citations other than stirring the pot of divisiveness, which is the last thing this nation needs right now.
Stirring the pot of divisiveness is typically a progressive tactic.
In the immediate aftermath of the killing of George Floyd, there was virtually unanimous outrage and condemnation of those police officers, including from the president. The country was probably more united at that moment than even after 9-11.
What has happened since, Beyond the protest, is violence from the left. They caused the division.

They caused the division.
The division started with Trump as far back as the 2016 campaign and has only piled up since then.
The division started with Obama. He was elected in an era where racial tensions had dramatically diminished. He then proceeded to redivide on racial grounds. His divisive words in the Trayvon Martin case are an excellent example.

Thank you for this!~ It spurred me to look at his speech at a Press Conference after the verdict, and I am in awe at the beauty, understanding, and the probable de-escalation of the anger that ensued. He neither dissed the jury, (nay, he speaks highly of the judicial system) yet demonstrated the empathy (not sympathy) needed at a time when another horrific killing of young black male was at the forefront.

Again, I thank you for the reference. I’d advise all to read it for themselves. It’s lengthy but insightful. It’s not a bully pulpit but a source of understanding into the hearts and minds of the community while maintaining a respect for our system of law.

Again, I’d advise a reading…it’s reminiscent of Leadership and refreshing.

Here is the change from 2006 to 2018

Ending whiteness as a race is not a reality, but Ending whiteness as majority just may happen
And may not happen…because there is a difference between a mathematical majority and a sociological majority.

Certainly a white mathematical majority might come to pass soon, but a sociological majority is who has the most power and money…so in some places, especially places colonized, the colonizers may not have a numeric majority of the colonized.

South Africa, during apartheid is a good example, where black Africans far outnumbered, several fold, white Africans.

For the white nationalists, that probably was a start,
Those idiots didn’t need a start. It’s like saying someone started the fascistic Antifa. The bigots and violence mobs have been around for a long time.
but Trump empowered and legitimized them,
Again, they have always been around and it is a slanderous falsehood against the president to say he empowered much less legitimized them. Hate groups, be it white supremacists, BDS, Antifa are never legitimate
