Are you disputing that he was attacked? Because there’s no other way to make the case that sustaining multiple blows to the head doesn’t cause some brain damage…

I gotta say, the number of people attempting to excuse the beating of a gay Asian journalist by a group of white thugs is starting to give me brain damage…

No one here is excusing that. But that does not mean that all the claims being made are supported by actual evidence.

Of course not, but since the head isn’t the only target in either sport, who would attempt to make that case. In the case of Ngo, we’re talking multiple blows to the head without the cushioning impact of padded boxing gloves. Odd that you would insist on trying to minimize the impact of that type of beating.

I think she’s a doubting Thomas, and must have the damage verified by two independent sources.

And it must cause a >5 % permanent impairment, or the guy is being a whiner.

And that “more to the story” makes Ngo’s beating, if not okay, at least not that worthy of condemnation because he brought it on himself. IOW, excusing it.

I don’t think so. This is a story of a Proud Boys’ demonstration that drew counter-protesters of the similar violent proclivities, and some who make a living doing something called “journalism” about the encounters of these people of little significance who arguably deserve each other. I think that this broader context is what the poster was getting at.
 
If it wasn’t damaging to those who really are uninformed and fuel such racial hatred, their jumping to announce the intended talking points of authorized Democratic propaganda would be just something to ridicule. But it became a 5 alarm fire by those who are determined commit “arson”. This is what came of this ignorant, poorly contrived, staged theatre. The only truth learned was the exposure of corrupt prosecutors and whomever else drove the false political racism.

The reality is you are wrong and there is a lot of debating from Antifa’s defenders trying to justify their reprehensible behavior, and that’s what’s insane.
 
Wasn’t insinuating here so much, online and in the media is where you are seeing a lot of it.
