I am a 23 year old man who recently has received a position in Maryland while my girlfriend will still be in Minnesota. We have talked about this and we wanted to make it work. I have yet to move to Maryland but this has caused me much stress and worry in my life. I question how it will work between us and it has caused me to get very angry and say things to her that I regret after the fact. Several days ago my anger flared up to the point where I broke up with her which was not my intention at all. I still love her and she loves me and has forgiven me and I still want this relationship to work out, but she says she needs some time to regain my trust, which I fully understand. I just wanted to know if anyone had some good advice to give me on controlling my anger and also not stressing out so much and just trusting that God is leading me where he wants me to go. I might also add that I am not Catholic, I am Lutheran, but she is Catholic and I have been doing a lot of research on Catholicism and have been strongly considering entering the Church.

look into anger management classes or groups. You will need to get this under control if you are serious about her, desire to get married and have children.

Moving to another state is very challenging, with the unknown before you, including the uncertainties of the new job and new workmates.
Nerves can be on edge with all that must be done to enable the move, and it can be difficult to cope with the thoughts of the isolation you may fear in separation from the familiar and friends.
This can be made more difficult if you have to leave a loved one behind, not knowing how distance will affect the relationship.
I hope your girlfriend can understand these pressures.

Try to be patent and understanding of yourself, and you may find it easier to be calm, and patient with others.

May God bless your relationship and lead it in the direction that is most blessed for you both.
May God protect and bless you in your new job and new area and network,
and may God bless you soul and lead you as He desires.
