Any bronies (meaning MLP fans who are male)?

I love hearing about guys being MLP fans. I’m a girl, and 27, and have been a fan winxe the 80’s. I still have all my original toys and playsets.
I really need to gve the new show a chance. I was kind of a pony purist, meaning anything post '91 wasn’t worth my time. Buuut, the new toys grew on me, so I’ve softened to the new look of the series.

I hate it when men think that just becausr it’s a “girls” show it’s forbidden to watch it. For me, real men are confident enough to watch a girly show. Those are my kind of men

By the way, years ago, I donated all my My Little Ponies to a charity yard sale (I lived in a much smaller place then, and just didn’t have room for them). I kind of wish I had saved at least one. The only one I have left is the pink stuffed one, with the rainbow color hair.

Oh no! You know some of the ponies are worth quite a lot of money.

Perhaps it was inevitable, given the number of guys in the herd, but a video game in which the ponies fight each other is being developed.

It was recently unveiled at the EVO 2012 Fighting Championships, and was described as retail quality. However, the game is unofficial and will be distributed for free.

Well, my brother is an officer in the Air Force, very masculine guy, but enjoys movies like Twilight, is an avid Vampire Diaries fan, and loves chick flicks. He doesn’t hide these facts from any of his buddies, and when someone poke fun at him for it he tells them to shut up. He’s also very much straight.
I’ve never understood why shows have to have gender labels. I used to watch Ghostbusters with my brother growing up, and he used to watch MLP with me. We enjoyed both shows, and it never crossed our mind that one was a boy show and one was a girl show. We just knew than as two o our favorite shows.
I don’t like macho men. The kind of guys than would rather die than be caught in a chick movie. Thats just such an unhealthy way to raise a child.

Most of the animation for MLP: Friendship is Magic is done in the Philippines.

And The 2nd Philippine Brony Convention was recently held at CSB Hotel in Manila. It only drew 100 attendees, but was successful enough for a third convention to be scheduled for next year.

2nd Brony Convention in the Philippines? I thought that was the first. Anyway, the first Philippine Brony Anniversary is coming up this August, and I do think the 2nd Philippine Brony Convention is planned sometime this December.

Was anyone else able to get the comic con exclusive ditzy doo? I was just able to order one on hasbro website. I think maybe one minute after odering mine they sold out. Now their going for criminal prices on ebay.

Aargh!! I stalked HasbroToyShop for days, trying to get Ditzy…but no luck!! (I kept missing her!!)

I’m a little like your brother.
I hardly enjoy chick flicks (Asian or otherwise), I do not like the Twilight series nor the Vampire Diaries but I do occasionally enjoy some really good Asian dramas, sitcoms, anime, manga and movies. Even more feminine Asian dramas (such as “Invincible Lee Pyung Kang”), I do occasionally enjoy.
As for things having gender labels, I can relate with you. Even here in the Far East, female gamers (not to be confused with those who simply play games such as FarmVille) are rare.

Oh definately. I have a friend who is a huge anime fan and mlp fim fan. I wasn’t sure at first about the new mlp style, but I’m an anime fan so that probably helped me warm up to fim. There is a definate animeish look about them.
