whos that guy??
That would be Dean Martin, a key part of Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack.

I have been a DMB fan since 1994. However, my support has dwindled since the train wreck, “Everyday”, came out. The producer who produced his recent album produced Eminem CDs. Dave’s energy in his music and lyrics has gone downhill. No album like “Before these Crowded Streets” will ever incite the feelings it stirred up in me. I actually cried (not bawling, just tears) when I listened to that album all the way through the first time. I also stopped attending concerts, it’s just not the same anymore. 😦

Yeah, I’m a big DMB fan. I’ve got most of the CD’s, working on the live one’s now.

I’ve got a bunch of DMB stuff. A buddy got me into it all, so I blame him. 😃

I look at the music, not the extracurricular activities.
So supporting this with your money wouldn’t bother you?

8/23/00, 10 a.m. ET) - [, and the SantanaNo DoubtDave Matthews Band](http://music.yahoo.com/read/news/12046456) have all been called “racist” and “genocidal” by the anti-abortion group Rock For Life. These bands, along with the Van’s Warped Tour (which is owned by LAUNCH Media), have been cited for their support of Planned Parenthood, a group that Bryan Kemper of Rock For Life claims is responsible for “racist and genocidal attacks against minorities, both domestically and abroad,” according to a statement released yesterday (August 22).

Kemper notes that all of the above support Planned Parenthood’s VOX program, which tries to get fans and concertgoers to back candidates who support federal spending for foreign and domestic population control. He says, “Bands are preaching hate-promoting racism against poor people worldwide, genocide in the name of family planning, and domestic baby killing–all under the mythical banner of ‘choice.’” Kemper adds, “It’s a shame that bands provide a platform for Planned Parenthood, an organization not only responsible for the deaths of millions of babies, but founded on the ideology of racism and on genocidal activism.”

not really, but “crash into me” just sounds beautiful. i like the style of the video too.

Crash (into me) is about a stalker - a creepy love (this is what Dave said about it himself.) I mean the guy in the song is a perv.

And is Santana ProLife? What was the point of that link?

It’s next to impossible to spend any money these days with a company that is supporting or donating money to an organization that supports PP, same sex benfits for employees, etc. If they have a product you want or music you like, buy. It doesn’t mean you’re buying into their political agenda.

BTW, thanks for trying to hijack what should be a pretty cool thread.

ummm hes Catholic.

see his album Some Devil. hes a very spiritual man.

Also hes got the be the most NON racist human being ever. hes an amazing humanitarian.

Before these crowded streets and under the table and dreaming are definately his best. i was SEVERELY disappointed by Everyday. Some Devil redeemed him, and Stand up is just a phenomenal album. but again. nothing like BTCS and UTTAD.
