Mega ditto!I wouldn’t say I was an idiot then. I was ignorant of a lot of things and the LDS church told me to stay away from things that weren’t faith promoting so it was somewhat difficult to become better informed. Then there was heavy family pressure to be LDS. Don’t underestimate the emotional impact of the LDS church. And it’s easy to fool yourself if you WANT to believe bad enough. I mean to become a GOD is a HUGE temptation to one not well versed in anything other than the LDS religion. The “bitterness” should be easy to understand. it’s not like changing to a new car. It’s a realization that you wasted so many years on the path to hell when you could have been following God in his true church. There is anger at the deliberate deceptions perpetrated, guilt over all the people that I taught and encouraged to be mormon. People that I led astray because I believed in Joseph Smith. All the time, talent and treasure that I did not use for God or fellow man but rather dedicated to masonic rituals on the behalf of dead people.
