Yes, I’ve read that many times. I am in awe when God does things only God can do. Like raising the dead or giving sight to the blind, instantly.

In this case, there is a direct link between science and atheism. For some, science is the justification for it. If that all fell apart tomorrow then one pillar of support for atheism would have fallen, which is why this has been discussed for years. Science does in fact claim to be the answer. Otherwise, there would be more scientists giving voice in opposition to people like Richard Dawkins and The God Delusion. But such is not the way today.

Those who claim the church does not speak about science should tell those who quote Popes to stop doing it. Why would what they say matter anyway? It matters in order to convince Catholics. To align Catholic thinking with atheist thinking. Science was always my favorite subject but in this case there is a lot of reasonable doubt. I’ve grown more skeptical because science ignores anomalies. Actual things that are alive now but went missing for millions of years. I am more skeptical of the dating methods. And as more and more complexity is found in the genome, the odds of chance events drops by an order of magnitude. This strongly suggests there was not enough time. Not enough time for even an apparently simple change.

Belief in evolution is right up there with Scientology and Little Green Men on Mars. Evolutionism works fine as a bed-time story that atheists can tell their children, but as serious science, forget it.

The education system is owned and biased in one direction. No debate is permitted.
This is one reason I believe evolutionism is a full-blown cult. Dissenters will not be tolerated in this totalitarian regime, which, by the way, I think is demonically inspired.

You have a degree in biology - this means you are probably even more brainwashed than the average evolutionist.
No. It just means I know better than you do about this particular topic.

How old are you? Referring to all scientists as God-haters is quite juvenile.

As long as we admit that faithful Catholics can accept the scientific consensus, which is that evolution really does explain the diversity of living organisms.
So creation doesn’t explain the diversity of living organisms?

Its played its part and will continue to do so in the Great Apostasy which is prophesied
Well said, Carmel! I think evolutionism is part of the “lying wonders” that Satan produces during the GA. It may ultimately lead to some greater deception involving aliens, which relies on belief in evolution.

Y’all should do stand-up. This is great.

Yeah. Those sheets and goats. Totally literal. That was a lecture on livestock.

And the literal tale of the prodigal son. And the literal tale of the wicked servant. And the literal tale of salt of the earth.

Change happens. We see it all the time.
What I see is that humans have been intensively breeding plants and animals for thousands of years and have come with a lot of “changes”, but I’ve never seen anything that makes me think a dog, for example, can evolve into a non-dog.
This stasis is what God was talking about in Genesis 1 when He said He created creatures “according to their kind”.

Individuals don’t evolve, and evolution doesn’t jump from one distinct species to another. There are different taxonomic levels that can experience gradual shifts over the course of several centuries/millennia.
