Some of us were thinking about starting a perpetual Rosary for all the intentions of everyone here -as Morwenna said we are " praying that God will make each of us ready for our future spouse (and them ready for us), lead us to each other, and to pour out grace upon us to give us strength and hope while we’re waiting"

It will be the same as the thread Rosary for CAF Prayer Intentions XIII under “prayer intentions”
Archus will start it off as a new thread and then each of us can add one (or more) prayers (i.e. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima prayer optional)- depending on where in the Rosary we are. Please include at the top of each post which Mystery is being prayed as well as a count for which Hail Mary(s) you are praying within the decade. E.g.

The Fifth Joyful Mystery
The Finding of Jesus in the Temple
  1. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Also, I think it would be nice at the end, to put up the list as a reminder as to who we do this for. I want us to do it together, because this prayer will be made powerful by our compassion for each other. Kirsty and I want to do this for you, because we all deserve love.

Courtship Prayer
Remember, O most blessed Mother, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, unworthy as I am of thy protection, in the presence of God the Father, the Author of Life, of God the Son, Who gave marriage the dignity of a sacrament, of God thy Holy Ghost, Who sanctified marital love, I entrust my courtship to thy motherly protection.

People: why won’t this thread just die already? What is the deal with getting married? Personally, I think men are so overrated, I’d like to just scream already.

The Catholic Church teaches that marriage is a sacrament, and a holy vocation. You may not feel called to the vocation of marriage, but many people are called to that vocation, and it does no good to belittle the vocations of others, or one of the sacraments instituted by Christ.
 
Hmm, i guess i do, i always think why on earth would someone wanna marry me? i am a new convert to Catholicism and really struggle with going to mass every sunday (when not at uni) and living the pure life- i am 19 and converted at uni- still i try, i pray the divine office, attend Catholic students union events, go on pro life marches and wot not but haven’t managed to find a Catholic boyfriend yet…Come on God! am i gonna be single forever???
