well mr.planten.actually maybe some of us can’t read arabic.but we read quran in our native language.so i also read those violent verses in the bangla translation of quran&i know my native language very well.then maybe the translators made the mistake when they translate quran in bangla language.so if i blame quran for violence then you should blame those translators who made mistake while they were translating it to my native languagethanks

Unity in belief I think it is impossible. Islam and Christian theology are different. Different way of thinking and different history too. But, as we agree to disagree, similarity do exist for both sides who love peace. Unity in the name of humanity is possible. Unity to assist our brothers and sisters in the disaster areas is possible. Unity in the spirit of inclusiveness is possible. BTW, it is not theology which make a better people, the spirit of brotherhood/sisterhood in humanity will. May the loving arm of God embrace you and your family, brother.

**Yes, that is right. There had been a lapse or loos etranslation about certain words. That has caused much misunderstanding. Please note that wherever there is an order to fight (or repel) the disbelievers, it is about the active, aggressive, fanatic disbelievers. There is nothing to harm the peaceful non-believers. That is a fact of the Quran.

But if any non Muslims (says christians or Hindus or atheists) have been misled by wrong translation then at the same time the Muslims also hve been misled by their clergy (the maulvis) because they also did not understand things. So they formulated as follows:

1. All those who have not uttered the Kalimah (that is, hve not embraced Islam) are kafirs.
2. That Muslims are to kill all the kafirs.

That is all wrong. There is no such thing. Anybody can believe anything peacefully and live happily. As long he does not attack the others religion, there is no harm to him. It is the promise of the Quran that he may be a Jew or a christian or a follower of any other faith, as long as he believes in a God and prays to Him and does good deeds, then he has no fear of the future and no sorrow of anything of the past… Verse 2:62.

In that verse, even the Muslims are included. They should believe in God and pray to Him and be peaceful. They will have no feat too.**

[You have gradually brought it down to a book and the prophet of peace (Muhammad). Please do not put the blame of the bad people onto a man of God. Likewise, I will also never try to throw your bad beliefs and bad deeds on to Jesus or the bible.

I have written before that Muhammad never allowed the killing of any innocent person. That is final. But if you say that the culprits should also be set free (scott free, and may even be kissed and given presents) as per teachings of your religion, then I would say that your religion is un-natural. It does not conform to nature.

I have agreed to most of what you said in your post because it was true. But please try to sense the good message in Quran. Do not blme Quran for the bad doings of its readers. Also, do not support those silly readers of the Quran. In that case you will be as bad as all of them.

2. No holybook can be interpreted literally

Catholics and the Church are bombarded with insults by the wider society, and yet many of us are more interested in criticising Islam and its followers. Many of you are saying how illogical and unbelievable Islam is, yet have nothing to say in answer to the same charges being pressed against you by atheists.

The thing is, many of you seem to be claiming to be devout Catholics. Yeah right. I hope you guys don’t expect those oh so sarcastic atheists that post here to start believing in Catholicism after reading the trash that gets posted here.

Why don’t we unite against secularism? Or is that a stupid idea? We all worship the one God after all. The CCC says so. Or is the CC wrong about that?

If you read what John Paul ll says its not the original religion that is bad, its what happened when someone took over that religion, and taught violence, and misled these people. What kind of God would tell you to break one of the ten commamdments and kill for him. and then turn around and reward you by having you break another commandment and commit adultry (ten virgins for killing people). Why cant you believe what Morning Star is trying to tell you, he is proof man, And if you cant believe him, how about what they say with their own mouth. How about how they treat women, and eachother, come on you see how they live. They put a gun in a eight year olds hand and teach him to kill, steal whatever. They cant worship Jesus Christ they must worship who they are told to worship, this is a peaceful religion. Women are dirt and there to please them not God. Yes at one time we all had the same God. Cant we say the same for the RCC. But what happened just like their religion, they wanted to be God themselves. they didnt want to obey, they didnt want to listen, So they said hey, who is this Pope, he is just a man, we will follow ourselves also. How many Churchs follow certain men and not God. Look at luther he had his own ideas, so he broke off the church and started his own. The same with Muslims. they followed Mohamad. I am sorry Mohamad is not Jesus Christ. The church was left to the Pope. Starting with Peter, there are people in our own country who wont believe that. No matter how we show them, they will never except the Catholic Church. Just like these people will not accept Jesus Christ. and it leads to what, anger, hate violence. Im sorry they have been misled. its as simple as that. Im not saying they arent good people, but they are not doing GOds work, by killing, commiting adultry, and spreading hate, ITs just wrong. At least in this country we have a choice to choose our God they dont, they will have their ears and hands cut off for it. This is not peaceful, this is not of God, this is wrong.

I think that any Catholic being an apologist for such a ‘religion’ as islam is being a help in them slaughtering not only Christians, but Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, etc around this globe. To bury ones head in the sand about what islam is all about just makes you a big, fat target.

‘Love they enemy’ is not the same as helping murderers do even more murder in the name of a religion.

When a muslim is more concerned about their image than stopping the murder, or more concerned about a cartoon or a movie, than stopping the murder - I would say it is about time to stop being their apologists and letting them have their way. Read the post that showed the % of muslims and the % of violence.

I would suggest reading what they read. The koran and hadiths. Know what they espouse about us infidels. Even to know what they say about their own women - no matter how often a muslim woman denies what it says.

Many Catholic apologists have helped islam along in the countries they migrate to and when you read the article I suggest - you will know that it has been to their own detriment and they are condemning their own children to islam or to be subjugated by it - if they don’t die from it.

This is real. Not some fairy tale I made up.

Go back to the origins of the teachings of islam. Its koran and hadiths. Read about mohammed - he raped, enslaved, stole, lied, tortured and murdered - all AFTER he thought up islam. www.faithfreedom.org is a good site to get a lot of info on this.
