Anyone notice the irony here: Catholics criticising Muslims and Islam on this forum

Is this the best you can do, play the part of devil’s advocate and use a tu quoque answer? Anyone can twist religious teachings to justify doing evil but that does not give Muslims a free pass. Do you actually believe that those intolerant teachings in the Quran mean something totally different and Muslims are just misunderstanding them? I’m not surprised though, that you replied in such a way.

I would show those people what Jesus taught us.

You know perfectly well that Christians who do evil are going against the teachings of Christianity, but can you prove that Muslims are going against the teachings of Islam when they do evil?

Vickie
You seem to know all Muslims so well, Vickie! In their hearts as well as from the outside. Did I say something like:" No, what you said did not happen!" ? No, and I don’t condone them. But you seem to find ALL Muslims evil… was it morning_star777’s case before he decided to become a Christian? and star777’s for that matter?
Also you say that the whole of Islam is wrong and evil. Not even one single good thing? I see you understand Islam to be a great threat. (Are you an ex-Muslim, btw?)

As for tu quoque answers, what are you referring to specifically?
When I answer, I answer the way I feel inspired to. Anyhow, we already have a big job converting from our bad ways, haven’t we? What do you expect me to do exactly, take a rifle and kill the Muslims indistinctly? (Even just spiritually?) What do you want exactly?

A rotten tree cannot bear good fruit! Does that answer your question? Can someone follow the teachings of a bad man and be a good person?

If I wanted to be just like Hitler and his SS what kind of person would I be?

No, I am not an ex-Muslim but in the case of Islam I listen to what ex-Muslims say. Did it ever occur to you to wonder at the mentality of the people who perpetrated 9/11? That is what started me wanting to know more about Islam and I don’t like what I see.

Vickie

Do you take your informations only from websites and news? Or do you have some personal knowledge of the Muslims, or more exactly of some of them? Do you have a tooth against people like me just because my opinion differs from yours? Why?
I certainly wish to be fair toward you, despite what you may think! I don’t want to say there are no threats at all. But to generalize the way R_not does, and you seem to do just like R_not. Why?
Is it just since 9/11, or was it even before that?

What makes you say Muhammad basically was an evil person? and where did R_not take her description of him as a rapist, etc.?
From which ex-Muslims do you get your whole picture of Islam, if you can say it’s whole?

Also, how can you tell all ahadith are authentic? Just because R_not says so? How does she KNOW for sure?.. If YOU know, tell me please.

Your bringing up that Catholics have done bad things as well, so we should not say anything about the atrocities being committed in the name of Islam daily!

What do you mean by this?? When have I ever advocated doing any violence to Muslims!

I get the information from sources like Jihadwatch and faithfreedom.org. The first is run by Robert Spencer and the 2nd by ex-Muslims. There are many others. What they maintain makes more sense than what Muslims tell us. What is the use of Muslims telling us that Islam is a religion of peace when daily events and their own scriptures contradict such a thing? Actions speak a lot louder than words.

I have no animosity towards you at all. I just wonder why a Catholic defends a faith that contradicts what our religion teaches.

As I just stated in another post, I wanted to learn more about Islam after 9/11. Before that I had no interest in it.

Did I say specifically you should not say a word about the atrocities made “in the name of Islam” ? ( BTW, atrocities could well be done in the name of Islam without it being done by Muslims, could it not?)

There have been many postings here of the evil deeds perpetrated by Muhammad! Have you missed them all? Did you know that he had people assassinated simply for writing satyrical poems about him?

Here are some links:

Mohammed without Camouflage: Ecce Homo … Arabicus
Muhammad and his personal enemies
Muhammad’s excessive cruelty

This last site lists atrocities committed in the name of Islam daily.

Check these out and let us know what you think!

** Booklover, you should not take your knowledge from a dirty pond. That is from the Kafirs, he enemies of Islam. They are extremists. You do not like extremism. Yet you go to them to get your medicine (knowledge).

We are here to tell you the truth. Try to follow this forum or our book Quran or your bible. Do not go to other bad forums to borrow bad material from there to throw it here in this good forum.

Do not support the extremists please. Use your own sense too. We know that there are many type of bad people amongst the Muslims. But they are ignorants. They are not right. What they are saying is wrong and what they are doing is wrong.

mr. lapell can you remember that 2 days before you wanted to give part of ur rosary for me&wanted to pray specially for me when in 1 of my post i wrote that if muslims will know i became christian then they will cut me i piece?in another thread i just wanted to tell that almost 99% muslim hate non muslims mentally.where i grown up i never saw any love or respect to other religion.as ex muslim i met thousands muslims only 2/3 of them were moderate

You specifically said this, Vickie! How do YOU know i talked “so [you] should not say anything about the atrocities”. This is as bad as calling names, madame! My intention never was such, you hear!! I demand your apologies!

Well, you haven’t answered my question!
What are you trying to say? That other people are committing crimes in the name of Islam and blaming Muslims?? I find that pretty ridiculous.

I suppose we or the Jews perpetrated the crimes on 9/11 and blamed Muslims?
