Ape fossil bridges evolutionary gap

Just curious what the creationists and evolutionists think.

If its a hoax, how did they pull it off? Or is this insurmountable evidence showing evolution?

I am not knowledgeable in this area. One funny thing I have wondered, is perhaps Adam and Eve were apes? I don’t really care, and maybe that is not right. God made all of us, apes and humans. If we evolved, I would still believe in the Bible. God started us all.

they all look like apes… and then suddenly we appear in their “evolution” thing. Weird…:hmmm: something’s wrong

As long as evolution is understood in a way that does not contradict the Church’s teachings, why do people bicker so much about this subject? If its the “missing link” or its not the “missing link” is something that will be determined later on, and people do not jump to rash conclusions. Scientists will look over it, and look over it, and look over it, and will probably not resolve anything at all. Some say it is the missing link, others say not.

It could be a hoax, or just a mis-interpreted piece of bone.
 
Ooooo, they found a monkey bone. I am leaving the Catholic Church and commiting the rest of my life to study this absurd anomaly called humanist macro-evolution.

Why do we as Catholics fear science? I have never understood the arrogance of mankind when they presume to be able to understand God’s methods.

The big bang, evolution, chemistry, physics, isn’t the fact that these sciences are so complex and difficult to grasp, so imperfect, a testimony to the greatness of God, not a threat against His image?

I have pondered this for 46 years, and I still do not, can not see the problem with reconciling science and our Faith. I have been criticized by BOTH SIDES for this view…

I do not fear science, but I don’t appreciate when things are forced on us. I think as you do that even if big bang is a fact, that our God would still have put in all in motion.

The Big Bang theory does not remove God at all, to me it gives actually proof that there is a higher supreme Being. I mean to make something out of nothin is mind boggling.

It’s not weird at all
No more weird than your house cat looking like a lion

Primates, including us, just look a lot alike

All a natural part of Creation 😉

The new evidence does push back the common ancestor further in time which should make some anti-science people a little more comfortable

The interesting thing is how early bipedalism developed

while it took a little longer than 7 days it certainly was “sudden” by any stretch of the imagination

Correct. Out of nothing, nothing comes, that is, nothingness cannot bring forth something. Only a something can bring forth another something.
