1st-I am a celibate gay person-I don’t even usually refer to myself as gay since I do not live the lifestyle-but for this purpose I feel it is necessary.
2nd-I could no more change my orientation than any straight person could change theirs. Trust me on this one-I’ve tried.
3rd-it doesn’t matter whether you act on your orientation or not-you can still be the target of intolerance and bullying-very often from those who profess their Christianity the loudest. If you’re not dating/married, not drooling over men/women or if “they” can tell by any other behavioral characteristics-you’re a target.
4th-if there is ANYTHING that could help a child not live through the hell I lived through in school I’m all for it.
