From reading the article (not the legislation), the law does not appear to stop anyone from religious freedom of assisting those who are starving, homeless, or in desperate need of medical care, provided that they do not encourage lawlessness of ILLEGAL immigration.
The CCC clearly states that immigrants must obey the laws of the host Country. CCC - 2241.
Helping illegal aliens to return to their own Country with full bellies and clothing is Christian.

Yeah that way when their stomachs become empty and their clothes turn to rags it wont definitely be our fault.
Seriously, why feed and clothe them in the first place if we are going to send them packing to poverty stricken homeland, I guess it helps one sleep at night

This year the USCCB has just given millions of dollars of US donations to the Bishops in Mexico and other Latin American Countries.Yeah that way when their stomachs become empty and their clothes turn to rags it wont definitely be our fault.
Last year they collected over $60 million from the US for the victims of the Haiti disaster.
It is our Christian duty to send aid to other parts of the world for those who are starving, naked, and homeless.
The USA also gives much in foreign Aid through our tax dollars, but unfortunately Obama has tied it to abortion funding (his repeal of Mexico City Policy).
Many individuals donate to charities all over the world. In addition the Pope has an annual collection for helping the poor.
As individuals we each must help the world-wide poor to the best of our ability.
This has nothing to do with ILLEGAL immigration. (Read the CCC regarding the Government’s right to pass fair immigration laws.)
The jobless rate in the USA is over 9%.
Discrimination regarding immigration is not appropriate.

Illegal immigrants are overpouring our borders and we NEED laws like these. I do concede that THIS law is too broad and can be used against people who provide charitable services to illegals. I say pass the Dream Act to make it easier for those immigrants who wish to assimilate easier access to becoming a citizen, build a wall on the southern border to slow the flood of illegals, and then have comprehensive immigration reform.
