Or 2015. There have been other Archbishops appointed as Cardinal in the past when the former Archbishop turns 80 a couple months after appointments and/or creations.

For example, Cardinal Dolan was created a Cardinal on 2/18/2012, while Cardinal Egan did not turn 80 until 4/2/2012.

Our loss is your gain,although I really like our new Archbishop Acquilla too!
 
i am a native kansan and went to college in colorado so i have followed Chaput since he was in colorado. i was very happy to hear this news. i would love to see Chaput as the first american Pope someday.
