Originally by Cybercorrespond: A Frightening thought. If Obama wins a second term, we will surely find out what his plan really is. youtu.be/8qHmXMMCrlI
That’s why we cannot allow him to be re-elected.

I suggest this:
I think there are a few things every one who does not want Obama re-elected can do and must do:
  1. Pray, everyday. Pray Psalm 109:8 for Obama
  2. Stay informed
  3. Help people wake up and informed.
Too many people are ignorant and indifferent. They only care what to eat for dinner. They don’t even know what is going on and they don’t think it will affect them. We need to educate and encourage those people.
  4. Sign every accountable petitions of protecting freedom and traditional values, sign them again and again
  5. Contact Congress and Senate again and again about the issues - call, email, postal mail, do it repeatedly
  6. Pass along all articles to do with the pressing issues through email, and ask all your friends to do the same.
  7. Utilize twitter, face book, blog, online forums to spread ideas and information.
We should imitate Obama - have a deep conviction, and on a resolved mission.
We can do it together.
Please take action everyday!

Bold emphasis mine.

Its nice to see that some of our bishops seem to be realizing that this is completely intentional on President Obama’s part.
Yes, because I believe that Obama is a shill. He personally is a political amateur, and and he’s not anywhere near as smart as people claim, which is all a myth and a joke. We have never seen his transcripts. WHY? Because of this he HAS to depend on others for “his” policies and “his” thinking. This is why Pelosi had so much power. She took center stage because he couldn’t go to Congress and do his job. He doesn’t know how.

BUT: He has advisors from all of these organizations that the Democrat party is in bed with, like planned parenthood, and they’re talking him into things. He is not capable of being president in his own right so he depends on planned parenthood and others to tell him what to do. Obama is desperate to be re-elected and so he is handing his decisions over to them and they are doing as they will under his name. They’re using him and he doesn’t even have sense enough to know it.

EVIDENCE: You see in the news releases how involved planned parenthood and other organizations are. You see in the articles from political experts how they’re all arguing at the white house. He argues with his cabinet and takes the advice of planned parenthood over the advice of his own vice president and his own cabinet. This is what’s going on.

Here’s a typical news report about how he’s making these decisions:
abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/02/policy-and-politics-of-contraception-rule-fiercely-debated-within-white-house/

So YES, the bishops are right in claiming that the agenda is going on, Obama or no Obama. We’re hearing the culture of death speak through Obama. We need a REAL PRESIDENT who can think like an adult and do his job in November. Anybody who can do the job of being President will be better than Obama, who is not up to the job and never was.

Indeed, many of us have pointed this out to catcalls and worse.

However, I am beginning to get the impression that there may have been a significant change of heart on the part of the bishops. I don’t expect them to put aside their infatuation for the welfare state anytime soon but they do not appear to be rushing to compromise and brush this under the rug.

Whether by choice or by circumstances forced upon them, they are beginning to take a stand. Some critics of the bishops have even gone so far as to claim that the bishops lured the administration into this fight. I don’t believe that but I do believe that they now recognize the significance of their response to it.

Let us give them the support they need and encourage them to stay in this fight until all men of conscience, not just Catholic institutions, are free of this immoral coercion.
I’m sure there’s significant change in their attitudes. They were taken to the cleaners. They were used and then discarded like a piece of garbage. If they didn’t get something out of that, I’d be frankly shocked. But they have. They’re fighting and it’s a good thing. You can see their actions in the USCCB website. They’re consulting legal counsel. There are a lot of people in on this everywhere. Lawsuits have been filed. We’re talking to congressmen. Lots of things are going on as a result of this.

Even the New York Times, a bastion of liberal nonsense, was willing, just last fall, to propose that maybe he’s “not up to the task.”

nytimes.com/2011/08/07/opinion/sunday/what-happened-to-obamas-passion.html?pagewanted=all

He’s not up to the task. He’s letting pressure groups make his decisions for him.

This is why we’re hurtling down the train tracks of the culture of death, suddenly at warp speed. Obama’s not driving the train anymore. Not really. He doesn’t know how. He can’t.

Not to make light of any of this, folks, but…

This is gonna make a heck of a good movie some day.

We hope it doesn’t have to look like Schindlers List.

What am I talking about? More than a million infants die every year in abortion clinics in this country. That doesn’t even count the ones that are terminated using the morning after (Was I really that drunk?) pill and the birth control pill.

On Fox News Sunday this morning Chris Wallace interviewed White House Chief of Staff Jack Lew.

Listening to Jack Lew’s responses to questions about the HHS mandate and its latest revision, one thing became real clear to me. This administration shows an absolute contempt for the Catholic Church and for freedom of religion. It believes that the First Amendment is subject to compromise. The attitude is, “okay we’ll give you a little bit of religious freedom, since you complained so much. But this is it, no more. You don’t like it, tough.”

This administration has no respect for the First Amendment, no respect for religious freedom, and utter contempt for the Catholic Church.

I see what you’re talking about, indeed. Of course, I was hoping for something more along the lines of “The Patriot”, or “Braveheart” 😉

Those would be fitting considering that Gibson also gave us “The Passion of The Christ”

The battle of Bannockburn had to take place for the story to be told, for the movie to be made. We have to win this thing before we start thinking about congratulatory movies. 😉

I saw that interview too. I think all of these are by design. Like you said,
The attitude is, “okay we’ll give you a little bit of religious freedom, since you complained so much. But this is it, no more. You don’t like it, tough.”
It is designed that way to show the Church who is in charge and show us there is nothing we can do under the “law”. Or so they thought? We have to show them the free society has not been lost yet. Though they want it to be a communist country, the war just starts, and we will win. We must, for our children, and for entire mankind.

I think they are going to come to regret this stand. I think they are going to lose votes over this religious liberty issue.

Very true. Easy to get caught up in all the growing momentum. Seems like true men and women of faith are slowly awakening and joining the fight. But as you say, first things first. Suffice it to say that “The Passion of The Christ” will be the final act.

I think that’s part of it. I think the utter contempt you’re witnessing is driven partly by the fact that they took a huge risk, they placed their chips on the naivete of the devout religious…but it didn’t pay off. In fact, it back-fired, and they’ve made more enemies than friends. Now they’re in a position of facing the music, having to publicly recant, reverse, withdraw. Arrogant types have a real difficult time doing that - humility stings too badly. So they have to play the part of the oppressed, the victim. “Look what the mean ol Catholic Church is doing to your freedom’s everyone! We’ll give in, but look who did this to you, America!”. I think that might be part of it. I don’t think there’s many on Pennsylvania Ave right now who don’t realize they’ve made a huge mistake.

This is absolutely correct but the answer is not to demand “respect” from secularists but raise the bar by educating people on the moral issues at stake.

Are we really facing a more hostile foe than the early Christians faced from the pagan Romans? I don’t think so. Obama may be bad but he’s not using Christians as torches to light the whitehouse lawn.

Instead, there seems to be this Lucy-like tendency to want to regard secularists as somehow trustworthy partners and then to be shocked with they yank away the football at the last moment.

McConnell: Birth-control debate ends when Obama 'backs down’
The Republican battle against the President Obama’s new birth-control mandate will continue until the policy is reversed, the top GOP senator warned Sunday.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Obama’s rule requiring employer-based healthcare plans – even those sponsored by faith-based groups – to cover contraception infringes on the religious freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. The Kentucky Republican vowed to fight the policy until the White House “backs down.”
“In this country the government doesn’t get to tell you or your organization what your religious views are – and they could well be minority views – but the Bill of Rights is designed to protect the minority from the will of the majority,” McConnell said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
"So this issue will not go away until the administration simply backs down. They don’t have the authority … to tell someone in this country, or some organization in this country, what their religious beliefs are. Therein lies the problem.

This is exactly what happened. We were played like a fiddle.

You are very optimistic. I just don’t know what kind of evil plans they have designed and whether all these are part of their written plots. I earnestly hope you are correct.

Well, not so much of an optimist. Let me restate. Some realize they made a mistake morally and/or constitutionally. Many more realize they made a mistake trying too hard to undermine faith with such an obvious “in your face” tactic.

But I’m sure quite a few still think all’s well with their plan, and with their hopes of re-election.

Actually, I’m not sure that they were actually surprised by the Catholic reaction. I think the White House has calculated that the Catholic reaction would be fiercely negative.

But I also think that they calculated that if they didn’t give their pro-abortion pro-reproductive rights base exactly what they wanted–and they wanted THIS–that reaction would have been even worse. And they’ve figured that if they back off by an inch, the backlash among their base will be fierce. And they’re more worried about their base than they are about staunch Catholics. They’ve written us off anyway. And they figure a lot of Catholics are willing to sell their souls–and more importantly for them, their votes–for free contraception anyway, so they are counting on those Catholic votes.

The US Bishops put their foot wrong on the first rung of the ladder into the tarpit.

We are probably going to have to get out of hospitals or lose our identity.

None of this means that we should stop fighting the Obama Administration’s attack on the 1st Amendment. We must not comply with what they want to do to us as Americans and as Catholics. But let’s not be naive about how we got here in the first place.
Full entry…
Well, this is starting to shape up like the start of an epic battle. :knight1: We are outnumbered, hopefully not outgunned nor outsmarted.

Hopefully some potentially legendary heroes will win the day for our side. :knight2: Our beloved country is becoming a place that makes the former inhabitants Sodom and Gomorra look like prudes.

Ready for our stand against the forces of Mordor.:nunchuk: We will get :blackeye: and and :stretcher: but we are in the :slapfight: until we :yeah_me:.

So we have to pray and hope that our :highprayer: do not flinch.

God Bless
