I do think that we’re getting off-track here.
So yes, I’m saying that the homosexualists and their enabler allies are angry at this event and it gives me great joy that they are receiving their long-awaited comeuppance.
This also proves that Archbishop Cordileone is doing his job well. If he isn’t, then the homosexualists and their enabler allies would not be so angry.
 
I say that he can indeed be both and indeed he is both! All of those under his leadership must be obedient to him. I believe he will make a very good Archbishop.

The Catholic Church will keep its stance officially but will keep quiet about it in public in the future. Just how you don’t hear about the Catholic Church outraged about divorce and remarriage.

I wonder if it is too early to predict what will happen in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Certainly there will be a period of adjustment when any new bishop assumes leadership. As we know from the situation in Cleveland, sometimes the policies of a new bishop are met with strong and vocal resistance. Given the reputation of Archbishop Cordileone and the reputation of San Francisco, things ahead could be rocky. Of course, reputations are sometimes inaccurate and overly simplified, which makes me cautious about making predictions.

Regardless, please pray for Archbishop Cordileone and for all the Catholics of San Francisco.

And here’s my point that was ignored earlier.
The fact that they are angry at Archbishop Cordileone’s stance on the issue proves that he’s no pushover. If he’s a pushover, then they will treat the appointment as something irrelevant at best.

I didn’t say that or imply that anyone would be sent to eternal torment, my friend, that’s all you!

The only meaning I had is that the righteous in Heaven will experience the ultimate joy of God’s Holy Presence and rejoice forever in the Beatific Vision.

I think you’ve got it backwards. DUI’s are not always that big of a deal especially considering the fact that it’s possible to get one by merely rinsing with mouthwash… That’s literally all it takes to get arrested for DUI.

Most people don’t realize that you can get arrested for DUI with a breath alcohol content of 0.01, and this does happen. Of course, with a good attorney one could probably get the charges dropped.
 
Course too, homosexuality isn’t always that big of a deal either… It only becomes a big deal when one embraces those lusts by outwardly acting upon them… What’s worse is an active homosexual who parades around rallying up support for this type of lustful impulse, turning sex into a kind of “lifestyle”.

The Church will always speak out against sex-based lifestyles whether they are homosexual or heterosexual based. She will remain unsilenced no matter what direction any society or culture in general takes. God bless the Bishops in San Francisco, who will surely face hardships when protecting the faith.

The police in the City of Milwaukee can be pretty lenient towards intoxicated drivers that legally shouldn’t be driving. And I hazard a guess that a large portion of adult Milwaukeens drive drunk once and a while.

I remember when I read the Yahoo news headline of the Archbishops arrest for a DUI and I had to chuckle. Yahoo essentially posted it as national news but that some obscure American figure most Americans have no idea exists… would make national news is so absurd as to be comical. But it’s propaganda.

And I’m not saying it isn’t news but it should have been local or state news and not national news.

For example, if an Imam gets arrested for a DUI in Kentucky it would (and should) remain local or state news. When the married Milwaukee Police Chief was found out to have been having an affair with the female journalist that had written a glowing article about him, it remained local news. It might not have even made statewide news. Certainly it was not national news.

That’s a good point. I wonder if the media gets some kind of pay-off from some groups for their repeated assaults on the Church -really I can’t help but to wonder.:confused:

The only problem with this one is that there’s really no scandal here… It’s not a sin for Catholics to drink a beer and drive, soooo… 🤷😃

(it’s not like we’re Mormons ya know…;))
