Archbishop Whurl express concen about V.P. Biden accepting now award at Georgetown?

D.C. Archbishop Whurl response to V.P. Biden recieving NOW award at Georgetown is “expressing concern that it happened and noting the confusion that happens by having an event by entities that are at odds with Catholic teaching.”

What is more a middle of the road answer is his comment on the President speaking at Notre Dame further on in the article. “the school should not have honored Obama but that he was not in favor of rescinding the invite.” When he was Bishop of Pittsburgh he was the same. He would not take the stand.

I am still wondering how these “Pro Abortion” people can speak at a Catholic institution? Worse, How can Archbishop Whurl be an Archbishop and not speak out. This is a prime case where you can have respect for the collar but not the person inside the collar.

Because they were invited in by people who only do what they want, and not what the church teaches us is right

The distraught daughter of this trucker finally threatened a lawsuit because of the pain this often repeated falsehood had on her entire family, and deeply distressed father

I don’t trust people that make up things to gain extra attention…it was sad about his family, but that doesn’t give him the right to tell untruths about the other driver

Just another example of the arrogance of dishonest “Catholics” like Biden, Pelosi, Sebelius, …etc, .who use the cover of the Church to promote their pro-death agenda to ignorant and uniformed Catholics and pagans alike!!

Some brave Bishops are standing up for the Truth, let’s support them and let’s pray for and publicly embarrass those Bishops who are too scared to call out and lovingly correct those who are wrong!!
