This question is of paramount importance! After all,
no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:3
Who wants to go through life not being 100% certain that Jesus is our Savior?
Understanding the guidance of the Holy Spirit is a learned behavior. At different times the Holy Spirit can manifest Himself to us in different ways.
These are some of the ways the Holy Spirit manifests Himself…
comforts us, teaches us, and reminds us (John 14:26, D&C 42:17, D&C 39:6)
guides us to truth and shows us things to come (John 16:13)
testifies of Christ (John 15:26, 1 Corinthians 12:3, 3 Nephi 28:11, D&C 20:27, D&C 42:17)
speaks truth to our heart and our mind (D&C 8:2)
enlightens the mind and fill the soul with joy (D&C 11:13)
unfolds to us the mysteries of God (1 Nephi 10:19)
carries the word of God into the hearts of those we teach (2 Nephi 33:1)
sanctifies us (3 Nephi 27:20)
causes your heart to “burn” (Luke 24:32)
communicates to us as a “still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12)

I hope this helps…
The LDS Church does not teach the doctrine of the Trinity. We do believe in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and that Each has a role
has a divine role to fulfill.
(Now I’ve never sure when an Orthodox Christian asks if LDS “believe in the Trinity” if they mean every last theological aspect of the doctrine of the Trinity, or just that those three Heavenly Beings exist in whatever form LDS believe Them to be.)
You too!
