Did I say that? How can one be Jewish and Mormon at the same time?

First of all, Yahwism was not Judaism as we understand it today. Abraham was a Yahwist, not a Jew. The same goes for Moses, David, Solomon, and Isaiah. They worshipped Yahweh who was the chief member of the Divine Council of gods. Perhaps after the Tanakh was written, the foundation of monotheistic Judaism was laid down. When Judaism was firmly established by the Rabbis in the Mishnah and Talmud in the first centuries after the death of Jesus, it was focused on only one G-d.

I did not realize that the Jesus of St. Mark, St. Matthew and St. Luke was the result of intercourse between heavenly father and Mary, a polygamist and the first born spirit son of heavenly father (and spirit brother of Lucifer) and just the latest in who knows how many generations of gods. Which translation of the Bible should I read for that information? I missed that in all my years in the Mormon church.

Calling yourself something doesn’t make you one. I just laugh when I hear Mormons use the name they gave themselves as proof they are Christian. It is so irrational.

Are you referring to present day Judaism? In OT days, Yahweh, Marduk, El, and Baal were recognized. Since only one was supposed to be worshipped, it was up to the people to choose. I think it was OK in certain time periods to accept that there is more than one God, but not OK to worship more than one.

Yahweh, I Am Who Am, was the God of the Jews. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The one and only Lord.

El, Marduk, and Baal were false gods worshipped by the Caananites. The Israelites were not to worship or acknowledge these false gods. It was about worshipping the one true God or worshipping false gods.

It may have been okay to choose among these false gods in pagan cultures, but certainly not in Jewish culture or in Christianity.

No, Mormons are not Christian despite their protestations otherwise. Their beliefs on Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost (Mormon godhead) are light years away from Trinitarian theology of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is uncreated and the cause of all creation; whereas Heavenly Father is an exalted man with a resurrected body of flesh and bone, and Jesus is his son, both in the spirit and flesh. Mormons don’t really have a very defined theology on the Holy Ghost, just that he has a body of spirit. The Mormon Heavenly Father and Jesus organized the earth with existing materials. They didn’t create anything out of nothing, unlike the Trinity. The Trinity is one God in three distinct but not separate persons. The Mormon godhead of Heavenly Father, Jesus and Holy Ghost all have separate bodies and are merely one in purpose. Mormon beliefs on god and generations of gods makes them polytheistic.

When I was Mormon I believed I was Christian but never got worked up about Christians saying that Mormons are not. Now that I am studying real Christianity, I clearly see that Mormons are not Christians.

The bolded words clearly show they are NOT Christians. If God created the universe with existing material, then God cannot be omipotent.

If Marduk was a true god to the Babylonians, and El and Baal were true gods to the Canaanites, they were still gods.

After all, Samu-El, Isra-El, and Imannu-El, meant something, otherwise why did their names contain “El”?

“El” essentially means “Deity” in Hebrew. Like Imannu-El, “With Us”-“God” - - - “God With Us.”
