when i was new to the faith, i figured it didn’t matter if i were to marry a non-Catholic. this seems to be very common. i figured my faith was just a personal choice and we should be open to others. as i grew in faith and my values solidified, i realized that it isn’t just a personal preference, but a valued lifestyle. it is just easier to look for a Catholic and the reasons are very numerous. the Church certainly doesn’t forbid it, but wisdom tells us it isn’t the most prudent and many difficulties lie ahead…
