Actually we are already seeing destructive effects from same-sex “marriage”. People have been fired from jobs for refusing to affirm their manager’s same-sex “marriage”. Parents were denied the ability to opt their children out of a sex-ed class that taught homosex as normal. And in one case, a women who converted to Christianity after being in a same-sex “marriage” ended up having to flee the country with her biological daughter because a court insanely awarded custody to her creepy ex-“spouse” with no biological connection to the daughter. One of the people who justly helped her flee was recently arrested.

Same-sex “marriage” isn’t about fairness. It’s about coercing anyone who disagrees.

One other issue - I am a taxpayer and I expect the government to spend my money well. Sanctioning behaviors that will increase social and money costs I object to. They do not serve the common good.

No, just humans!! And homosexuals ARE humans you know! If two people want to marry, because it means something special to them, just like it does to me in a ‘conventional’ marriage, I don’t want to stand in their way. As for procreation I’m not sure where the fear of falling population comes from… If it’s because the baby boomers want enough young people to look after them in their dotage - then that strikes me as selfish in the extreme - where would that end?! Already the planet cannot support our present population with our high consumption rates.
Perhaps homosexual couples in a secure relationship could offer loving homes to some unwanted kids languishing in institutions.
