 Cookie Monster is a bad example because he eats too many sweets, which is considered gluttony. šŸ˜ƒ šŸ˜ƒ

You know they re-did his character of late for that very reason right? Heā€™s supposed to be eating healthier snacks besides the cookies all the timeā€¦so sadā€¦LOL

Will they now have to change his name to ā€œGranola Bar Monsterā€? Or ā€œSalad Monsterā€? šŸ˜ƒ

Even ā€œThe Countā€ is tame and lame these days. No longer is he a wild, obsessive/compulsive counter with lightning and thunder perpetually following him around. Now he is more like a polite vampire who is just happening to point out that there are now 4 of something, now 5. When childrenā€™s programming isnā€™t just plain fun, it grows really boring, really fast; and loses itā€™s worth to even educate very well, as it is no longer entertaining. Now, that said, you can have a lot of fun satirizing ā€œJourney with (Big Bird and) Ernie!ā€ if you interact with them playfully. One day I caught the mutant canary doing geometric progressions. That was kind of interesting. Ernie is watered down, but hasnā€™t entirely lost his silliness, at least.

ā€œCā€ is for celery
Thatā€™s good enough for me
ā€œCā€ is for celery
Thatā€™s good enough for me
ā€œCā€ is for celery
Thatā€™s good enough for me
Oh celery is good enough for me
(and non fattening)!

The new segment combining the Cookie Monster and the Count is going to be ā€œCookieā€™s Calorie Countā€.

And not just kidsā€™ programs, either! Does anyone else remember how dreary sitcoms got in the 1970s (or was it the 80s?) when all of a sudden, every episode had to deal with at least one earth-shaking issue?

By the way, I love the Teletubbies, but I donā€™t have any kids, so I donā€™t have to worry about anyone picking up sloppy language from them!

(I love the showā€™s set, and those huge bunnies, too).

Iā€™m actually not much of a teletubby person. They just donā€™t do anything for me and the show confuses me.

But, now, the Boobahs, OTOHā€¦ good stuff!

:rotfl: And Elmo will be his personal trainer.

Ya know, I find it odd that no one has mentioned Bert and Ernieā€™s ā€œrelationshipā€ yetā€¦

Bert and Ernieā€™s thing is so yesterday. Old news. Now, what Iā€™d like to know is where Elmoā€™s ā€œbabyā€ came from.

The inane teletubbies are passeĀ“ since thereā€™s a newshow to take their place: Boohbah. Just like the teletubbies: pointless twaddle to babysit children.

Does anyone remember the Arthur episode with about the ficitional show called ā€œLove Ducks?ā€ That was a parody of the Teletubbies effect on children. Now that was entertaining!

I donā€™t know - are you sure Boohbah isnā€™t a transvestite like Twinky Dink :hmmm: Does the show have Jerry Falwellā€™s seal of approval šŸ˜ƒ
