Does anyone remember the Arthur episode with about the ficitional show called “Love Ducks?” That was a parody of the Teletubbies effect on children. Now that was entertaining!
I remember it! I love Arthur!

(By the way, the Boobah show looks like Teletubbies on LSD – just my HO! 😃 )

Has anyone ever seen Tots TV? That was a wonderful show – I don’t know if it is broadcast in this country anymore. 😦

It’s harmless, but better for babies than kids. Kids older than 15 mos might be inspired by something more challenging and inspiring.

It’s easy to see that Tinky Winky is a transexual, Dipsy is a stereotypical black guy, his skin is darker, he is the best dancer and he has a large fallic on his head.

LaLa is the typical springy happy girl and poe is just young.

I can’t stand Boobah since my friend mentioned that they look like the head of a man’s genetalia. The don’t look like “boohas” the look more like something else.

Has anyone seen “Post cards from Buster?” We were watching it once when there was a family with “lesbian moms” that episode was apparently removed, because there were complaints.

Bert and Ernie’s thing is so yesterday. Old news. Now, what I’d like to know is where Elmo’s “baby” came from.
It is his sibling, I saw the episode when they mention Elmo’s mommy had a baby.

OK, now that just makes things stranger. Afterall, it does beg the question, “Who’s the daddy?”

Teletubbies are the scariest things I have ever seen… They haunt my dreams! They will soon take over the world!

Yes with lots of vegetables and a good stock, a big boiling pot is handy. eh oh  😉

I’m actually not much of a teletubby person. They just don’t do anything for me and the show confuses me.

But, now, the Boobahs, OTOH… good stuff!
I think this show is a slightly odd, but it does promote physical activity. Kids can get off the couch and copy what the Boohbahs do - they dance around a lot! It sometimes reminds me of a Richard Simmons work-out! 😛

Eh-oh, eh-oh.

Again, again!

Eh-oh, eh-oh.

Would you like some Tubby Toast and some Tubby Custard?

Watch out for the Noo-Noo!

BIG HUUUUUG!

Could be because you’re not a 3-year old 🙂

The inane teletubbies are passe´ since there’s a newshow to take their place: Boohbah. Just like the teletubbies: pointless twaddle to babysit children.

Lol yes that episode is funny. I’m 16 and I still find Arthur very entertaining…it has fun spoofs and parodies that only older people would get.

Omg Boobah…what the heck is that? I would never let my kid watch it it has absolutely no entertainment or educational value. Its just clicking no words! Its like some drug induced haze or something.

They can reproduce??? It must be that television inside a television inside a television phenomenon.

You know, seriously however, it seems like the best of kids programming is something that works on all levels and which adults can appreciate, also.

Sit down and watch it – I don’t trust many others on what I let my kids watch…if I haven’t seen it, they don’t see it. It’s that simple.
This is what I did. My opinion: the one Teletubbies episode I watched was the most vapid programming I have seen in my life.

In the episode I saw, the Teletubbies gathered together in their sort of Astroturf dreamland and then got very excited because one of their tele-bellies started tingling. The “show” that followed was nothing more than picture after picture of orange objects, with the identical voice-over repeated each time: “Orange!” After enduring about 10 minutes of this, the Teletubbies all jumped up and down excitedly. “Again! Again! Again!” they cried. AND THEY PLAYED THE EXACT SAME FILM LOOP AGAIN. AND THAT WAS IT. Given the choice, I would much prefer to watch a video of a fireplace. Come to think of it, I would rather watch a video of someone clipping their toenails.

My verdict: if this is television for two-year-olds, then clearly two-year-olds are too young to watch TV.

If I couldn’t watch it over and over and over, then I didn’t videotape it, and they didn’t watch it. I taped from both PBS and commercial TV, but I cut out all the commercials. Having a limited amount of television choices, so that it becomes boring if they watch too much… also a good thing. My kids are six, and if offered the chance to watch TV, they usually have better things to do. Incidentally: having several four-hour tapes of kid’s programming comes in very handy when they are sick.

I watch them all the time. I especially like the episode when one of them made toast and only one of them could eat it. I also like it when that little baby laughs at the sun going down.Besides how cool would it be to have a telivision in your tummy. I like that better than supermans cape any day…just think you could watch the “Price is Right” while you were at work. But I guess you would have to have a mirror and then everything would be backwards…see…nothing in life comes easy. Stupid Tella Tubbies…they just ruined my plans for the future…no wait…if you had two mirrors, hmmmm?
